WARNING: Never leave children unattended.

WARNING: The wheel can detach and cause tip over. Pull on the wheel to assure it is securely attached.

CAUTION: This jogger is designed for one child only. Use with more than one child may cause imbalance and injury.

CAUTION: Purses, shopping bags, parcels, diaper bags, or accessory items may change the stroller's balance and cause hazardous unstable conditions.

Assembly Instructions

IMPORTANT! To ensure safe operation, follow these instructions carefully. Keep for future reference.

IMPORTANT! Before assembly and each use, inspect for damaged hardware, loose joints, missing parts, or sharp edges. NEVER use if parts are missing or broken.

IMPORTANT! Adult assembly is required.

Front Wheel Installation

WARNING: This wheel uses a front wheel double nut locking system. Follow all instructions carefully to ensure child safety. Failure to do so could result in serious injury or death.

  1. Lean the stroller backwards so it rests on the handle and rear axle frame, with the front wheel forks pointing upward (Fig. 1).
  2. Slide the front wheel onto the front forks (Fig. 2).
  3. Slide the retainer plate onto the front wheel. Ensure the raised lip points toward the fork and insert into the slot on the fork. The tab on the retainer plate must align with the slot before tightening the wheel (Fig. 3).
  4. With the wheel in position, install the axle nuts and tighten with a wrench. Significant resistance should be felt, and the wheel should be held tightly in place (Fig. 4).

Fender Installation

To secure the fender to the frame, use the 4 provided screws.

  1. Examine the bottom of the front fender. You will see four 1/4 inch diameter plastic tubes protruding from the bottom (Fig. 5a).
  2. These tubes must align with the holes in the front frame assembly (Fig. 5b).
  3. Line up the front fender and press it onto the front frame assembly (Fig. 5c).
  4. Insert the 4 screws through the underside of the front frame assembly into the front fender's plastic tubes. Tighten screws until snug, but DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN (Fig. 5d).

Rear Wheel Installation

WARNING: Ensure wheels are firmly locked. NEVER use if wheels are not locked. Contact customer service immediately at 1-800-328-7363 (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM PST) for assistance.

  1. Lean the stroller forward to rest on the front wheel. To attach rear wheels, push each wheel's axle into the plastic corner fitting (Fig. 6). Depress the metal lever on the inside of the corner fitting while pushing the axle. Release the lever when the wheel is fully inserted.
  2. NOTE: Check wheel lock by pulling on the wheel. If not locked, lift the lever, push the wheel further, and release the lever.
  3. Ensure wheels are firmly locked.

Parent Tray Installation

WARNING: Do not place hot liquids or more than 3 pounds in the parent tray. Serious burns or unstable conditions could result.

  1. Align the fittings on the parent tray ends with the fittings on the outside of the handle. Hook the hole in the parent tray. Pull outward on the opposite end while pushing down on the tray until locked onto the stroller handle (Fig. 7).
  2. NOTE: Be careful not to pinch your fingers when installing.
  3. To remove the parent tray, pull outward on one end while lifting upward.

Canopy Operation

  1. To open the canopy: Push forward on the front edge of the canopy while holding the rear in place (Fig. 8).
  2. To fold the canopy: Pull backwards on the front edge (Fig. 9).

Child Tray Installation (if equipped)

  1. To attach the child tray: Insert the tray clip into the fitting on the stroller's fold joint (Fig. 10a). Check that the clip locks into place.
  2. Push the angled tray onto the post at the end of the right armrest, pressing the snap button downward until locked. Rotate the tray downward until latched onto the left armrest (Fig. 10b). Check that the snap button securely latches the tray.

Accessing/Removing Child Tray

  1. To access the child seat: Press the left side tray release button inward and rotate the tray upward (Fig. 11a).
  2. To remove the child tray: Press the release button, rotate the tray 180 degrees, and pull until released (Fig. 11b).

Infant Car Seat Installation

WARNING: Never jog or run with your newborn in the car seat position. Use for strolling only.

STRANGULATION HAZARD: Children can strangle in loose straps. Never leave a child in the seat when straps are loose or undone. Remove straps when not in use.

  1. Turn car seat support tabs on the stroller frame (Fig. 12a).
  2. Position the infant car seat so it faces the rear of the stroller. The seat shell goes into the front tray and latches into place (Fig. 12b).
  3. When the infant car seat is locked, strap the single short clip over the car seat through the seat belt slots (Fig. 13). IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THE SHORT CLIP IS ALWAYS TIGHTLY FASTENED AROUND THE INFANT CAR SEAT.
  4. To remove the Infant Car Seat: Squeeze the release handle at the foot-end of the seat and lift upward (Fig. 14).

Safety Features for Jogging

When jogging with your child, use the following safety features:

  • LOCK THE FRONT SWIVEL WHEEL IN STRAIGHT POSITION: Prevents the stroller from tipping or veering off course during jogging.
  • SAFETY WRIST STRAP: Always connect the strap to your wrist when jogging. This strap prevents the stroller from rolling away if you trip. It should remain connected to the rear lower frame cross member to prevent tipping if you fall. The strap includes Velcro for storage when not in use (Fig. 21a, 21b).

Brake Operation

WARNING: Always set brakes when the stroller is not being pushed to prevent it from rolling away. NEVER leave the stroller unattended on a hill or incline.

  1. To engage brakes: Apply light downward pressure to the brake lever on each rear wheel. You may need to move the stroller slightly forward or backward to align the brake teeth with the wheel brake cluster (Fig. 15). Check that the stroller does not move and brakes are applied correctly.
  2. To release: Gently lift up on the brake lever.

Front Wheel Lock

WARNING: Always lock the front swivel wheel in the STRAIGHT position before placing or removing children.

FALL HAZARD: Before running, jogging, or walking fast, lock the front wheel to prevent swiveling.

  1. The swivel jogger has a front wheel locking device. Fig. 16a shows a remote release lever under the right handle; pull to disengage, push to engage. Fig. 16b shows the lock mechanism operating vertically.

Securing the Child

WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the safety harness.

STRANGULATION HAZARD: Children can strangle in loose straps. Never leave a child in the seat when straps are loose or undone. Remove straps when not in use.

  1. The 5-point harness has 3 attachment positions for shoulder straps. Select the position that places the shoulder strap level with, or below, the top of the child's shoulder (Fig. 17a).
  2. Carefully place the child in the seat. Bring the safety harness around the child's waist and over the shoulders. Place the crotch strap between the child's legs. Insert the male ends of the shoulder/waist belts into the buckle on the crotch strap. Tighten the harness to be snug around the child's waist and over their shoulders (Fig. 17b).
  3. To release the child: Push the button on the center clasp; the harness buckles will pop free (Fig. 18). For Type 2 clips, apply pressure to both sides of each male clip until released (Fig. 19).

Seatback Positioning

The seat has multiple recline positions controlled by a strap and buckle adjuster behind the seat.

  1. To recline: Loosen the strap through the buckle and adjust to the desired position (Fig. 20a).
  2. To move to a more upright position: Press upward on the seat back with one hand while pulling the strap through the buckle with the other (Fig. 20b). The strap locks automatically.
  3. The upright position should only be used for children at least 6 months old. Always readjust the safety harness, including shoulder belts, when repositioning the seatback.

Jogging with Your Stroller

WARNING: Never jog or run with your newborn in the car seat position. Use for strolling only.

STRANGULATION HAZARD: Children have strangled when straps wrapped around their neck. Remove straps when not in use and place in stroller storage pocket. Keep stroller carrier strap out of children's reach.

Folding and Unfolding

Folding the Stroller

WARNING: Be careful when folding to prevent finger entrapment. CAUTION: Do not allow children near the stroller while folding.

  1. Close the canopy and recline the seat as described in previous sections.
  2. Pull each trigger fold simultaneously (Fig. 22a). When fold latches release, the handle will fall. Release fold buttons and press down on the handle until the stroller is completely folded. Secure the folded stroller by locking the fold latch over the frame rivet (Fig. 22b).

Unfolding the Stroller

WARNING: Be careful when unfolding to prevent finger entrapment. CAUTION: Do not allow children near the stroller while unfolding.

  1. Stand the stroller on its wheels. Release the folding latch on the right side (Fig. 23a).
  2. Lift the stroller handle with both hands until the frame locks in the open position (Fig. 23b). Test that both latches are fully engaged before placing your child in the stroller.

Maintenance

Tires

Tires are shipped un-inflated and should be inflated regularly to the specified PSI using a bicycle-style hand air pump (not included).

Testing for Proper Wheel Installation

WARNING: ALWAYS check the double nut locking system before each use to ensure the front wheel is securely fastened.

  1. To check front wheel security: Lift the front wheel off the ground and sharply strike the top of the tire (Fig. 25). The wheel should not be loose or come off.
  2. To address front wheel wobble: If wobble occurs, adjust the front wheel housing nut located under the footrest using a standard crescent wrench. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN, as this can damage the housing.

Wheel Adjustment

Strollers can sometimes pull to the right or left due to factors like uneven tire pressure, improper installation, or road conditions. If your stroller pulls significantly, follow instructions on page 31 to realign the front wheel.

Flat Tire

The jogging stroller uses bicycle tires. If you get a flat tire, you can repair it with a standard bicycle tire repair kit or take it to a bicycle shop. For frequent flats, consider purchasing thorn-proof inner tubes. The correct size is indicated on the tire sidewall.
