Troubleshooting

Wi-Fi Connection Issues

  1. Cannot connect to Wi-Fi: Ensure the correct Wi-Fi password was entered. Check for internet connection problems. If the Wi-Fi signal is weak, reset your Wi-Fi router and try again.
  2. Binding Failures: If you fail to bind, use two phones: one to set up a hotspot, and the other to connect to the hotspot and add the device via the app. If the device is successfully added, check your router settings for MAC and DHCP restrictions, as Lumary products do not support 5GHz networks.
  3. Flickering: Lumary products have factory default network configurations. If the device is not connected to the network, it will flash for three minutes upon powering on. Once connected, flashing ceases. If connected, it will stop flashing and automatically reconnect after being switched off and on via the wall switch (with a 15-second interval).

Device Offline or Unreachable

  1. Ensure your Wi-Fi router is online and within range.
  2. Check for the latest Lumary firmware updates in your device settings.
  3. If issues persist:
    • a. Turn off the Lumary device.
    • b. Clear the application cache on your mobile device.
    • c. Reboot the router.
    • d. Wait one minute, then turn the Lumary device back on.
    • e. After five minutes, check the device status.

These steps help resolve connectivity issues and ensure optimal performance.

App Functions

3.1. On/Off

The switch button controls the power for the entire set of string lights, allowing you to turn them on or off with a single tap. You can also adjust the actual length of the light strip if it has been cut during use.

3.2. Colour

After connection, the app defaults to the Colour UI. This interface features two icons and a digital display. Click the icons to switch between color format choices. You can select all colors, control individual lights, turn off individual light control, or adjust color transitions.

3.3. Scene

The app offers 44 different scene modes and supports DIY scenes (50+). You can edit and save your favorite scenes. Remember to preview and save your custom scenes.

3.4. Music Rhythm

Activate music rhythm mode to synchronize lights with music or other sounds. The lights will follow the rhythm of music played on your phone or react to other sounds like notifications or incoming calls. Exiting music rhythm mode stops synchronization.

3.5. Plan

Set the on/off time for the string light daily. You can configure timers for specific actions like turning the light on/off, dimming, or setting a scene.

Remote Control

The remote control operates both networked and unconnected devices. Key buttons include ON/OFF, MODE+, DIM, MODE-, Brightness/Speed adjustment, Auto Scenes cycle, Scenes Pause/Play, Previous Scene, Next Scene, and color selection (Red, Green, Blue, Warm White, Cool White).

  • For unconnected devices: Wait until the device stops flashing. Press the on/off button for 3 seconds (not recommended).
  • For connected devices: Power the device off and then on. Long press the on/off button for 3 seconds. The light will blink to indicate successful pairing.
