Addendum - Suggested Wiring Configuration
This document provides an addendum to the main installation guide, detailing suggested wiring configurations for the Fortin EVO-KEY module.
Vehicle: KIA Sedona
Model Years: Push to Start 2015-2018
To add the firmware version and options, use the FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool (sold separately).
Parts Required (Not Included):
- 1X Fuse
Description
This section details the connection points within the vehicle.
1. Driver Kick Panel: Located at the driver's side kick panel.
2. Front of I/P Junction Box: Located at the front of the I/P junction box.
Visual Description of Connections:
- Driver Kick Panel: Shows connections for (-) IMMO DATA, (+) IGNITION, (+) ACCESSORY, and (+) STARTER.
- Front of I/P Junction Box: Shows a connection for (+) 12V.
Wiring Connection
This section provides a detailed wiring diagram for the EVO-KEY module.
Key Connections:
- RS6/A2: (-) GROUND OUT WHILE RUNNING
- RS5: REMOTE STARTER
- RS7: STARTER (+)
- RS6: IGNITION (+)
- RS5: ACCESSORY (+)
- RS2: 12V BATTERY (+)
- RS1: Ground (-)
Data-Link Connections:
- WITH DATA-LINK: Direct connection required. Cut wires for RS14 and RS5 OUT.
- WITHOUT DATA-LINK: Not required.
Module Connections (EVO KEY):
- A1: (-)GWR
- A2: (+)IGNITION
- A3: (+) ACCESSORY
- A4: (~)Immo Data
- A5: LT.BLUE
- A6: LT.BLUE/BLACK
Wire Colors and Connections:
- B4 Red: (+) STARTER
- B3 Black: Ground
- B2 Blue: (+) 12V
- B1 White: (-) IMMO DATA
Connection Points:
- Front View Driver Kick Panel (46-pin White Connector): Shows specific pin assignments for connections.
- Front View I/P Junction Box (4-pin White Connector): Shows connection for (+) 12V.
Programming Procedure
Follow these steps to program the EVO-KEY module:
- Step 1: Press and hold the programming button. Insert the 4-Pin Data-Link Connector. The LED will alternate between YELLOW and RED.
- Step 2: Release the programming button when the LED is RED. If the LED is not solid RED, disconnect the 4-Pin connector and return to Step 1.
- Step 3: Insert the required remaining connectors.
- Step 4: Press and release the programming button 7 times (7x). The RED LED will flash 6 times and pause.
- Step 5: Do not press the brake pedal. Press the START/STOP button twice to turn ON the ignition. The RED LED will flash rapidly 10x times. (Key bypass programmed).
- Step 6: Press the START/STOP button once to turn OFF the ignition.
The module is now programmed. Use the remote of the remote starter or security system to test all supported features to ensure proper programming.

Updated firmware and installation guides are posted regularly on the Fortin website (www.fortin.ca). It is recommended to update the module to the latest firmware and download the latest installation guide(s) before installation.
