Cleaning and Sterilization
Proper cleaning and sterilization are essential for hygiene and pump performance.
Non-washable parts:
- Pump motor
Washable parts:
- Breast flange
- Diaphragm
- Milk collector
- Valve
Cleaning and sterilizing washable parts:
- Clean with soapy water (40-60 °C) for 3-5 minutes.
- Use boiling water, steam, or a sterilizing cabinet. This requires 100 °C (212 °F) for 5-10 minutes.
Note: It is not recommended to sterilize pump parts in a microwave or UV sterilizer. High temperatures (>110 °C) will shorten the lifespan and pose safety risks.
