IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!

  • Initial Activation: Before first use or after a period of idleness, activate the valve properly. Turn the dial to ON, press and hold the OK button for 5 seconds to enter manual mode, then re-press OK twice to activate and close the valve. Repeat this 3-5 times. This ensures the valve is activated, as it may appear closed due to external factors during storage or transport.
  • Use only with clean, cold water.
  • The filter traps dirt particles, prolonging the product's life. Clean the filter regularly and replace it if worn.
  • When freezing temperatures are expected, remove the timer from the hose faucet and store it indoors to prevent freeze damage.

  • DIAL: Rotate to customize your watering schedule.
  • OK / MANUAL Button: Confirm setup or water manually.
  • DELAY/+ Button: Adjust time and system setup or delay watering program.

DIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

DIAL POSITION FUNCTION
SET CLOCK Set the current time.
START TIME Select the time you would like watering to start.
HOW LONG Determine how long to water.
HOW OFTEN Choose how often you will water.
ON Timer runs according to your customized schedule.
OFF Turn off all watering.

PRODUCT INSTALLATION

INSTALLING THE BATTERY

  1. Remove the battery tray on the back of the timer.
  2. Insert 2 new AAA (1.5V) alkaline batteries (not included).
  3. Firmly reinstall the battery tray back into the timer.
Note:
  • Firmly restore the battery tray to ensure water resistance.
  • Removed old batteries at the end of the watering season and disposed of properly.
  • Used up or dead batteries must be removed from the timer and disposed of properly.
  • Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak.
  • Replace batteries when the low battery indicator ? appears on display.

INSTALLING THE TIMER

  1. Attach the timer to an outdoor hose faucet.
  2. Please turn on the tap after programming the timer.
Note:
  • When programming the timer, please turn off the tap to avoid getting wet.
  • Do not use tools on the timer. Hand tightens only.
  • Used up or dead batteries must be removed from the timer and disposed of properly.
  • Keep away from freezing. Timer should be removed to avoid freezing damage.
  • To prolong the life of the timer, keep the filter clean and in place when using the timer.

PROGRAMMING THE TIMER

STEP 1: SET CLOCK

  1. Turn the dial to SET CLOCK.
  2. Using the "+" and "-" buttons, set the time you want to start watering, including AM and PM.
  3. Using the "OK" button to switch between Hours and Minutes.
  4. Turn the dial to save changes.
Tips: At the end of the setting, please turn the dial to save changes. If you press "OK" at the end, it will go back to the previous step.

STEP 2: START TIME

  1. Turn the dial to START TIME.
  2. Using the "+" and "-" buttons, set the time you want to start watering, including AM and PM.
  3. Turn the dial to save changes.
Tips: At the end of setting, please turn the dial to save changes. If you press "OK" at the end, it will go back to the previous step.

STEP 3: HOW LONG

  1. Turn the dial to HOW LONG.
  2. Using the "+" and "-" buttons, select watering duration from 1 minute to 3 hours 59 minutes.
  3. Turn the dial to save changes.
Tips: At the end of the setting, please turn the dial to save changes. If you press "OK" at the end, it will go back to the previous step.

STEP 4: HOW OFTEN

  1. Turn the dial to HOW OFTEN.
  2. Using the "+" and "-" buttons, set your watering frequency. You can choose to water every 1 to 12 hours, or from 1 to 7 days.
  3. Turn the dial to save changes.

Examples of watering frequencies:

EVERY 1 DAY

Tips: At the end of the setting, please turn the dial to save changes. If you press "OK" at the end, it will go back to the previous step.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

RAIN DELAY WATERING

Rain delay allows you to postpone watering for a set period of time without interrupting your original schedule.

  1. With the dial in the "ON" position, press the "DELAY/+" button for 3-5 seconds to enter the delay watering mode.
  2. The screen will display a default delay period of "24H". You can press the "+" or "-" button to select the delay period from 24H, 48H, and 72H.
  3. Press the OK button to run the delay function after selecting the delay time; all watering plans will skip during this period.
  4. To remove rain delay, hold the "DELAY/+" button for 3-5 seconds again to resume your programmed watering schedule.
Note: Please remember to press the "OK" button after selecting the delay time, otherwise the delay mode will exit automatically after the reading flashes for about 2-5 seconds.

MANUAL/HAND WATERING

This feature allows you to water without interrupting your set watering schedule.

  1. Keep the dial in the "ON" position and hold the "OK/MANUAL" button for 3-5 seconds to enter manual watering mode.
  2. The duration of manual watering is default to 10 minutes. You can press the "+" or "-" button to set the manual watering time from 1 minute to 8 hours.
  3. Press the OK button again to run the manual watering function after setting the watering time.
  4. To stop manual watering:
    • Turn the dial to OFF and then back to ON.
    • Or hold the "OK/MANUAL" button for 3-5 seconds again to resume your programmed watering schedule.
Note: Please remember to press the "OK" button again after setting watering time, otherwise the manual watering mode will exit automatically after the reading flashes for about 2-5 seconds.

OFF MODE

  1. If you wish to stop the watering plan for an extended period, turn the dial to OFF. (Your settings are saved).
  2. The timer will not water automatically while in OFF mode.
  3. To start watering automatically again, turn the dial back to ON to resume your programmed watering schedule.

BATTERY STATUS

Battery Status will be displayed as follows:

  • ? Full
  • ? Low Power
Note: When the low battery indicator ? appears on display, the valve will close automatically to avoid leakage. Please replace the battery in time to avoid interrupting normal operation.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Possible Cause Possible Solution
The water inlet leakage 1. No filter or not placed horizontally.
2. The faucet is not the standard 3/4".
1. Add filter and make sure it's placed horizontally in the inlet.
2. Make sure the faucet is a 3/4" faucet.
3. Strengthen it with raw rubber wrap.
The water won't stop/flow out 1. Long time in storage and transportation made the valve inactive.
2. Valve blockage.
Step 1: Keep the tap turned off and turn the timer dial to ON.
Step 2: Run the manual watering function for 5-7s and stop it (refer to page 12).
Step 3: Repeat Step 2 for 3 to 5 times.
Step 4: Try using it normally.
No response for manual/rain delay function After setting manual watering or rain delay time, without pressing OK button to save and run. Press OK button again after the time is set to confirm (refer to pages 11, 12).
Short battery life 1. Mixed use of old and new batteries.
2. Used the carbon batteries or rechargeable batteries.
1. Use new alkaline batteries.
2. Rechargeable batteries and carbon batteries have a short life; use alkaline batteries instead of them.
Low water pressure 1. Filter blockage.
2. Inlet pressure not sufficient to support watering needs.
1. Check if the filter is clogged; if so, clean or replace the filter.
2. Make sure the timer is installed properly and not cross-threaded.
3. Installation of a booster pump or other auxiliary equipment for increasing pressure.

During the warranty period, RainPoint will replace free of charge any product found to be defective under reasonable use and service, as determined solely by RainPoint.

WARNINGS

  • Intended for outdoor use only. Placing the timer in a sheltered outdoor area will prolong its lifetime.
  • Using tools to tighten your timer too much can cause damage. Tighten it by hand instead of using a tool.
  • Please ensure the filter is placed horizontally in the top connector before installation to prevent leakage. Add a filter and thread seal tape if necessary.
  • The mesh filter prevents dirt particles, prolonging the life of the hose timer. Clean the filter regularly and replace it if worn.
  • When power is low, please replace the batteries promptly to avoid interruption of normal operation. When replacing batteries, ensure the battery compartment is dry.
  • When the device is not in use, remove batteries, drain the timer, and store it indoors away from freezing.
  • Do not use the timer in temperatures above 120°F (50°C) or below 38°F (3°C).
  • Do not subject the product to extreme force and shock.
  • Severe electrical shock could result if water is sprayed into outlets or sources of electrical current. Never immerse the product in water.
