Warm Tips: Please Read Before Using
- ❄️ Do not use the water timer when the temperature is below 37°F (3°C), and store the timer indoors to avoid potential freezing damage.
- ?️ The filter traps dirt particles, preventing them from entering the timer and causing clogging. Clean the filter regularly and replace it if worn.
- ? To ensure a longer lifespan, use 2 new AAA alkaline batteries (not included). Do not mix new and old alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries.
- ? Please activate the water timer before first use or after a period of inactivity (Refer to page 6: ACTIVATE THE TIMER BEFORE USE).
- ? Only use with clean cold water.

The RainPoint ITV205 is a two-zone water timer designed for automatic garden watering. It features a large LCD screen, a dial for navigation, and buttons for control.

Product Installation
Installing the Batteries
Follow these steps to install the batteries:
- Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the timer.
- Insert 2 new AAA (1.5V) alkaline batteries (not included).
- Put the battery compartment cover back on the timer and press firmly to make sure it is completely sealed.
Note: Firmly restore the battery compartment cover to ensure water resistance. When the timer is not used for a long time, please remove the batteries and dispose of them properly. Replace batteries when the low battery indicator ? appears on display. Do not dispose of batteries in fire; they may explode or leak. To ensure a longer lifespan, use 2 new AAA alkaline batteries (not included). Do not mix new and old alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries.
Installing the Timer
Follow these steps to install the timer onto your faucet:
- Turn off the garden faucet.
- Wrap Teflon Tape around the faucet threads.
- Screw the timer to the garden faucet. Position the display as vertically as possible to the ground to prevent rainwater from accumulating and leaking into the interior.
- Wrap Teflon Tape around the threads of the timer outlets.
- Screw the garden hoses to the timer outlets.
- Turn on the faucet after programming the timer.
Tips: If the connection between the timer and the faucet or hose is not tight or leaking, wrap more Teflon Tape (thread seal tape) to make them tight.
Important: Please do not use tools; install the timer by hand. When expecting freezing temperatures, timers should be removed from the hose faucet and stored indoors to avoid potential freeze damage. Please install the filter properly and keep it clean.
Programming the Timer
Step 0: Understanding Zones
This is a two-zone timer allowing you to water two different areas from the same faucet. Each zone can be programmed with independent start time, duration, and frequency.
Note: Dual zones operating simultaneously have lower water pressure than a single zone because the water pressure is divided between the two zones.
Please design the program separately for each ZONE:
- First, set up ZONE 1 by following steps 1-4 below. Then turn the dial to "ON" to save the changes.
- Press the "ZONE" button to select ZONE 2, and follow steps 2-4 to set it up. Turn the dial to "ON" to save all plans.
Step 1: Set Clock
To set the current time:
- Turn the dial to "SET CLOCK". Use the "+" or "-" button to select 24-hour or 12-hour format and press "OK" to confirm.
- Use the "+" or "-" button to set the current exact time. If you choose the 12-hour format, please note the AM and PM indicators.
- Use the "OK" button to confirm and switch between hours or minutes.
- Turn the dial clockwise to save the changes for this step and proceed to the next.
TIPS: When the setup of this step is finished, please turn the dial to save the changes instead of pressing the "OK" button. If you press "OK" after setting, it will return to the previous setting instead of saving it.
Step 2: Start Time
To set the watering start time for each zone:
- Turn the dial to "START TIME".
- Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set your desired start time.
- Use the "OK" button to switch between Hours and Minutes.
- Turn the dial clockwise to save the changes for this step and proceed to the next.
TIPS: When the setup of this step is finished, please turn the dial to save the changes instead of pressing the "OK" button. If you press "OK" after setting, it will return to the previous setting instead of saving it.
Step 3: How Long
To set the watering duration for each zone:
- Turn the dial to "HOW LONG".
- Use the "+" and "-" buttons to select the watering duration, from 1 minute to 3 hours 59 minutes.
- Use the "OK" button to switch between Hours and Minutes.
- Turn the dial clockwise to save the changes for this step and proceed to the next.
TIPS: When the setup of this step is finished, please turn the dial to save the changes instead of pressing the "OK" button. If you press "OK" after setting, it will return to the previous setting instead of saving it.
Step 4: How Often
To set the watering frequency for each zone:
- Turn the dial to "HOW OFTEN".
- Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set your watering frequency. You can choose to water every 1 to 12 hours, or every 1 to 7 days (e.g., 1 is every day, 2 is every other day).
- Turn the dial clockwise to save the changes for this step and proceed to the next.

Step 5: Automatic Watering
Once programmed, the timer will water automatically:
- Turn the dial to "ON".
- The LCD screen will display the current time and the next watering start time for Zone 1, then the current time and the next watering start time for Zone 2.
CONGRATULATIONS! Your timer has now been programmed successfully! It will automatically start watering based on the programmed start time, duration, and frequency. You can keep the faucet open and trust the timer to water!
Additional Functions
Rain Delay Mode
Rain delay allows you to postpone watering on both zones for a set period without interrupting your set watering schedule.
To access the rain delay, follow these steps:
- When the dial is in the "ON" position, press and hold the "DELAY" button for 3-5 seconds to enter the delay mode.
- In Delay Mode, "24H" will flash on the screen. Press "+" and "-" to select the delay period (24H, 48H, or 72H).
- Press the "OK" button to run the delay function. The screen will show a countdown of the remaining delay.
- To cancel rain delay, press and hold the "DELAY" button for 3-5 seconds again to resume your programmed watering schedule.
Note: Please remember to press the "OK" button after selecting the rain delay time to start the program. Otherwise, the setting will exit automatically after the screen flashes for 3-5 seconds.
Manual/Hand Watering
This function allows you to manually water without interrupting your set watering schedule.
To access this feature, follow these steps:
- Turn the dial to "ON".
- Press and hold the "MANUAL" button for 3-5 seconds to enter Manual Watering Mode.
- Press the "ZONE" button to select which zone you want to use (Zone 1 only, Zone 2 only, or Zone 1 and Zone 2).
- Use the "+" or "-" button to adjust the manual watering time from 1 minute to 8 hours.
- The default watering time is 10 minutes.
- Press and hold the "+" or "-" button to quickly increase or decrease the time.
- Press the "OK" button immediately when the screen flashes to confirm and start manual watering. The screen will show the watering pattern and the remaining time.
- To stop manual watering, press and hold the "MANUAL" button for 3-5 seconds to exit manual watering mode and restore the original watering program. Alternatively, turn the dial to "OFF" to stop watering, then turn it back to "ON" to restore the program.
NOTE: Please remember to press the "OK" button after setting the manual watering time to start manual watering. Otherwise, the setting will automatically exit after the screen flashes for about 3-5 seconds.
Usage
Use Only One of the Zones
If you want to use only ZONE 1 and disable ZONE 2:
- Turn the dial to "HOW LONG" and press "ZONE" to select ZONE 2.
- Press the "+" or "-" button to adjust the Hour until the screen displays "00:00".
- Turn the dial to "ON" to save the changes. This means ZONE 2 is off, and you can program ZONE 1 as needed. The timer will only run ZONE 1.
If you want to use only ZONE 2 and disable ZONE 1, the same procedure applies.
Off Mode
To temporarily stop all watering:
- If you wish to stop all watering plans for an extended period, turn the dial to "OFF". Your settings are saved.
- The timer will not water automatically while in OFF mode. The screen will display the word "OFF" in large letters.
- To start automatic watering again, turn the dial back to "ON" to resume your programmed watering schedule.
Battery Status
The battery status will be displayed as follows:
- ? Full
- ⚠️ LOW Power
Note: When the low battery indicator appears, the valve will close automatically to avoid leakage. Please replace the battery to recover functionality.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Possible Cause | Advice |

The water inlet leakage | 1. No filter or filter not placed horizontally. 2. The faucet is not the standard 3/4". | 1. Add filter and ensure it's placed horizontally in the inlet. 2. Make sure the faucet is a 3/4" faucet. 3. Strengthen connection with Seal tape. |
The water doesn't stop/flow out | 1. Long-term storage and transportation may make the valve inactive. 2. Valve blockage. | 1. Keep the tap turned off and turn the timer dial to ON. 2. Select the zone you want to fix (ZONE 1 or ZONE 2) and run manual watering for 3-5s, then stop it. 3. Repeat Step 2 for 5 to 7 times. 4. Try using it normally. |

Cleaning Your Timer
After a period of use, impurities or dirt in the water may accumulate in the timer. Therefore, the timer should be cleaned regularly to ensure its proper operation.
Please follow these steps to clean the timer:
- Turn off the garden faucet and remove the timer. Check if the filter at the timer water inlet has accumulated impurities.
- If the filter is dirty, please take it out of the timer and rinse it with running water.
- Turn on the Manual Watering Mode of the timer to open the valve and check if the water pipe of the timer is blocked. If it is blocked, please clean it gently with a small cleaning brush.
Warnings
- For outdoor use only. Placing the timer in sheltered outdoors will prolong its lifetime.
- To avoid damage, please tighten it without using tools.
- The filter should be placed horizontally in the water inlet to prevent leakage.
- When low power, please replace the batteries to avoid interruption of normal operation. When replacing batteries, ensure the battery tray is dry.
- When the timer is not in use, please remove the batteries and store it indoors.
- Do not use the timer under temperatures above 120°F (50°C) or below 38°F (3°C).
- Do not subject the product to extreme force and shock.
- Severe electrical shock could result if water is sprayed into outlets or sources of electrical current. Never immerse the product in water.
This product is MADE IN CHINA and conforms to the national standards of the United States, Britain, Germany, and France. Use this product correctly. If it needs to be discarded, please dispose of it properly according to national requirements. Please protect the environment.
