Important Safety Instructions

• The battery-powered camera is not designed for continuous 24/7 operation or for permanent live streaming. It is intended to record motion events and provide live streaming on demand.
• Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the product.
• Use only attachments and accessories approved by the manufacturer.
• Turn off the device when not in use for extended periods.
• Charge the battery using the specified power source indicated on the product. Do not use solar panels from other brands to charge the battery.
• Do not attempt to disassemble the unit. Contact authorized service for any repairs.
• Supervise children to ensure they do not play with the product.
• Keep small detachable parts out of reach of young children to prevent choking hazards.
• Not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities without appropriate supervision.
• Ensure the solar panel receives sufficient sunlight and avoid obstructions (trees, buildings, etc.) that may block light.
• The solar panel surface may accumulate dust, dirt, or fallen leaves, which can affect light absorption. Regularly clean the panel, typically every few months.

Battery

• The battery is integrated. Do not attempt to remove it from the camera.
• Charge the battery at temperatures between 0°C and 45°C, and use the battery at temperatures between -20°C and 50°C.
• Keep the charging port dry, clean, and free of debris. Cover it with the rubber cap when the battery is not charging.
• Do not charge, use, or store the battery near ignition sources like open flames or radiators.
• Do not use the battery if it emits an odor, generates heat, changes color, deforms, or shows any abnormality. If the battery is in use or charging, stop immediately and contact the seller for after-sales service.
• Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures and pressures that could cause explosions or leaks.
• Do not dispose of the battery in fire or attempt to damage it mechanically.
• Follow proper disposal guidelines for used batteries to minimize environmental damage.

Precautions

• Handle batteries with care to avoid burns, fire, and explosion hazards.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, prolonged sun exposure, and keep it away from heat sources.
• Prevent strangulation by keeping cords out of reach of children.
• Be aware of potential interference from other electronic devices and position the camera unit accordingly.

Local Surveillance

A Micro SD card (up to 256GB, NOT INCLUDED) is required for recording and storage. It is optional if video and image storage is not needed.

Cloud Storage Options

Choose a cloud storage plan for videos, offering additional backup and features. Subscription is available after connecting the device in the app.

Setting Up the System

Download the App

Download 'CZEview' from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), or scan the QR code below.

Register and Log In to Your Account

Launch the app, register an account with a valid email address during the first use, then log in.

Note:

• Allow the app to access your WLAN and cellular data for a successful connection.
• Allow the app to access push notifications for detection alerts.

Configure the Camera in the App

Before you begin, please note:

1. Fully charge the camera before first use.
2. Press the 'Power' button for 3-6 seconds until you hear three rapid 'Ding, Ding, Ding' sounds, indicating the camera is starting up.
3. Ensure the red indicator light is blinking slowly, signifying it's ready for WiFi configuration.
4. If the red light is not blinking, press the 'Power' button to wake the camera, then press and hold the 'Reset' button for 3-6 seconds until you hear a 'cuckoo' sound. You should then hear three rapid 'Ding, Ding, Ding' sounds, and the red light will blink slowly, indicating the camera is ready for WiFi configuration.
5. Ensure the CZEview app is downloaded and open.
6. Select the correct device type and model in the app.
7. Ensure your network is stable and keep the camera and phone close to the router during setup.
8. Enter the WiFi password (8-32 characters) exactly as shown.
9. Do not use emojis, special characters, or symbols in the WiFi name or password. Avoid public networks.
10. Networks requiring web authentication are not supported.
11. Ensure your WiFi network name (SSID) is visible.
12. VPNs and proxy servers do not work.

Method 1: Bluetooth Connection (Recommended)

Note: Allow the app to access Bluetooth and location services for a successful connection.

1. On the home page, select 'Scan Code' in the top right corner to add a device. Then tap 'Start Scanning' and align the camera with the QR code on the camera's body.
2. The camera to connect will appear. Tap 'Enter Configuration' to continue.
3. Select the same WiFi network as your phone and enter the password.
4. Allow the app to access your location.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Attention:

• If a 'connection failed' message appears during Wi-Fi setup, tap 'Re-add' in the top-left corner and follow these steps:
• If the indicator light is on: Hold the 'Reset' button for 3-6 seconds until you hear a 'cuckoo' sound, indicating the camera is in reset mode. The light will blink red and emit three rapid 'Ding, Ding, Ding' sounds, signaling the camera is starting up and ready for Wi-Fi configuration. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection.
• If the indicator light is off: Press the 'Power' button to turn on the light and listen for three rapid 'Ding, Ding, Ding' sounds. Hold the 'Reset' button for 3-6 seconds until you hear a 'cuckoo' sound, indicating reset mode. The light will blink red and emit three rapid 'Ding, Ding, Ding' sounds, signaling the camera is starting up and ready for Wi-Fi configuration. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection.

Installing the Camera

1. Perform a network diagnostic. Bring the camera to the intended installation area and open the app.
2. Tap the 'Settings' icon in the bottom right of the preview window.
3. Go to 'Installation Guide' and tap it.
4. Tap 'Next' until you reach the 'Network Diagnostic' page. For optimal experience, ensure the WiFi signal strength at the installation location remains 'Strong'.

For optimal results, install the camera on a wall at a height of approximately 2.5 meters (8.2 feet). Ensure there are no obstructions within 1 meter (3.3 feet) of the camera's horizontal field of view. Avoid placing the camera behind trees or around corners, as this may affect night vision quality.

Using the Wall Mount

1. Secure the wall mount to a suitable surface using screws.
2. Slide the camera into the wall mount until it clicks into place.

Using the Strap

1. Pass the strap through the loop, tighten it, and attach it to a pole or tree.
2. Slide the camera into the wall mount until it clicks into place.

Tips for Optimal Motion Detection:

A. Camera Installation Based on Field of View:

1. Check your camera's viewing angle to ensure the surveillance area is within its field of view.
2. The ideal viewing distance is 2 to 10 meters (6.6 to 33 feet) for optimal recognition. For best results, avoid placing the camera too far or too high; the recommended height is 2.5 meters (8.2 feet).

B. Installation Based on PIR Motion Sensor Detection:

• The PIR motion sensor detects motion within a maximum range of 10 meters (33 feet) with a horizontal angle of 130°. Ensure movements occur within this range to be detected.
• The PIR sensor is more sensitive to lateral movements than direct movements towards the camera.

Tips for Reducing False Alerts:

• Avoid installing the camera facing bright lights, including sunlight or lamps.
• Do not point the camera lens directly at the road; it is recommended to place the camera at least 10 meters (33 feet) away from driveways or roads.
• Keep the camera away from vents, such as air conditioning units, humidifiers, and projector vents.
• Avoid positioning the camera facing mirrors or glass surfaces.
• Keep the camera at least 1 meter (3.3 feet) away from any wireless devices, including Wi-Fi routers, to avoid interference.

Tips for Improving Detection Accuracy:

• Set the sensitivity level to high.
• Position the camera to capture lateral movements rather than direct approaches for better motion detection.

• Mount the camera at an optimal height of 2.5 meters (8.2 feet). Avoid placing it too low or too high, as this may hinder alert detection.
• Ensure the target is within the PIR motion sensor's ideal detection range of 2 to 10 meters (6.6 to 33 feet).

Night Vision

To adjust night vision settings, launch the app and go to 'Settings → Image Settings → Full Color Mode.' You can choose from three night vision modes in the app.

Note: Night vision quality may be affected by nearby obstructions. Ensure there are no obstructions within 1 meter (3.3 feet) of the camera's horizontal field of view. Avoid placing the camera behind trees or around corners.

Recording and Playback

CZEview battery cameras only record when motion is detected, not continuously. Recordings can be saved to a micro SD card (not included) or the cloud (subscription required).

Before Recording:

For SD Card Users:

• Use a micro SD card with a capacity between 8GB and 256GB. (A 32GB SD card can store up to 6 months of videos for reference.)
• After inserting the SD card, go to 'Settings' → 'Recording Management' to check if 'SD Card Capacity' appears in the app. If it does, tap 'Format' to prepare the card.
• If 'SD Card Capacity' does not appear, reinsert the SD card and check again under 'Recording Management'. If the problem persists, try another SD card.

For Cloud Storage Users:

The camera includes 7 days of basic free cloud storage, where motion-triggered videos are saved for 7 days before being overwritten. The free cloud storage plan records 6-second clips. For longer recordings, consider subscribing to another cloud storage plan or using an SD card.

Recording Configuration:

For Cloud Storage Users:

1. Tap the 'Settings' icon in the bottom right of the preview window.
2. Go to 'Cloud Storage Service' and tap it.
3. Subscribe to a plan to enable recording; without a subscription, the camera will not record.
4. Go back to 'Settings', find 'Motion Detection', and tap it.
5. Ensure the 'Motion Detection' function is enabled (it is by default).

For SD Card Users:

1. Tap the 'Settings' icon in the bottom right of the preview window.
2. Go to 'Recording Management' and tap it.
3. Ensure the 'Video Switch' option is enabled (it is by default).
4. Go back to 'Settings', find 'Motion Detection', and tap it.
5. Ensure the 'Motion Detection' function is enabled (it is by default).

Playback:

For Cloud Storage Users:

On the home page, tap the playback icon C. Tap 'Cloud' to view videos stored in the cloud. For the paid cloud storage plan, the default recording duration is 10 seconds. To extend it, go to 'Settings' → 'Motion Detection'. The free cloud storage plan only supports 6-second recordings.

For SD Card Users:

On the home page, tap the playback icon C. Tap 'History' to view videos stored on the SD card. The default recording duration is 10 seconds. To extend it, go to 'Settings' → 'Motion Detection'.
