General Recommendations and Warnings
These instructions are written based on the current state of knowledge. Information is provided without guarantee of accuracy. Technical modifications are reserved.
It is recommended to have the accessory parts fitted by a specialist workshop.
Touratech accepts no liability for incorrectly fitted parts and resulting material damage or personal injury.
Please observe applicable road vehicle regulations as well as EC/ECE Directives and applicable laws in your country. If parts are fitted which require inspection and/or approval after fitting, take your vehicle to a testing station immediately and have the vehicle papers updated.
Assembly Order
The order of assembly steps must be followed.
Maintenance and Checks
Check and if necessary tighten all bolted connections after 50 km.
Stainless steel bolts should be treated with a conventional lubricant prior to assembly.
Safety and Operational Considerations
Lean Angle Restriction: Please take into account that fitting panniers, crash bars, foot peg lowering kits (rider and pillion), kickstand enlargement plates, front spoilers, and engine guards may restrict the bike's lean angle.
Modifications: If modifications are made to the fairing, stem, handlebar, or other fairing parts, ensure that electrical wiring, brake lines, accelerator, and clutch cables are refitted correctly. Check clearance on both sides with full steering lock. Verify the free movement of all functional parts.
Electrical Work: Always disconnect the battery when working on the electrics.
Protection: We recommend cutting protective film to size and applying it to impact areas that are likely to be chipped by stones.
Brake and Suspension Work: Work on the brake system and suspension should always be carried out by a specialist workshop.
Load Limits
Maximum load on luggage racks is 5 kg. For ZegaPro TC luggage racks, the maximum load is 10 kg.
Accessory Compatibility
If other original accessories or aftermarket accessories are used, ensure clearance, fitment, and that they do not come into contact with other parts.

Installation Diagrams and Descriptions
Diagram 1: General View and Warning
Image Description: The diagram shows the rear section of a KTM motorcycle. A prominent warning symbol ⚠️ is displayed with the accompanying text: "Support bike in proper way". This indicates the necessity of securely supporting the motorcycle before commencing work. Numbered labels (1, 2, 3, 4) point to general areas of the rear suspension assembly where components will be mounted or interacted with.
Diagram 2: Detailed Mounting Points and Optional Assembly
Image Description: This diagram provides a detailed view of the suspension mounting points on the right side of the motorcycle. It illustrates the removal of the 'original' shock absorber and the installation of the new Touratech Suspension Federbein. The diagram highlights specific mounting points labeled '1', '2', '3', and '4'.
Mounting Point 1: Indicates the lower attachment point of the shock absorber to the motorcycle's swingarm.
Mounting Point 2: Indicates the upper attachment point of the shock absorber to the motorcycle's frame.
Mounting Point 3: Shows another frame attachment point, likely related to the suspension linkage or subframe structure.
Mounting Point 4: Points to a rearward mounting location, possibly for the linkage or lower shock mount.
An 'optional' assembly is depicted, which includes a 'spacer' component. This suggests that a spacer may be required depending on the specific motorcycle configuration or other installed accessories.
A clear instruction is given: "tighten all screws" accompanied by a torque specification icon (Nm), reinforcing the importance of correct torque application for all fasteners.
