Installation Instructions
- Remove the rear light clusters.
- Remove the rear bumper. Three fixings in each wheel arch and three fixings on the lower edge.
- Remove the six fixings securing the impact beam to the rear panel. (NOTE: Impact Beam is not refitted with the Towbar assembly).
- Identify all Towbar mounting points and clear of any under seal or mastic.
- Place item B into the N/S Chassis and item C into the O/S chassis and using item K with item P loosely bolt through the vertical mounting points on the lower face of each chassis member.
- Using item J with item M loosely bolt each side arm (items B & C) to the captive studs on the rear panel.
- Using item L with item N bolt item A between item B and item C.
- Using item F with item N and item H with item N bolt item E and item D to item A.
- Fully tighten all nuts and bolts ensuring Towbar is rigid and secure.
- Cut out Vauxhalls pre marked area of bumper for the Towbar assembly to pass through.
- We recommend you locate your desired wiring kit (Not supplied in this kit) into the vehicle now as it may be difficult to enter the vehicle once the bumper is refitted.
- Refit the bumper.
Diagram Description
The assembly diagram illustrates the Tow-Trust TV1VK towbar components. It shows the main crossmember (A) connecting the left-hand (B) and right-hand (C) side arms. The detachable housing (D) and flip-down socket plate (E) are also depicted. Various fasteners, including bolts (F, H, K, L), nuts (J), and washers (M, N, P), are shown connecting these parts. The diagram also indicates a component labelled "NOT SUPPLIED IN THIS KIT PART No. TTFP/RH".
Important Notes
Nose load limits and vehicle manufacturer's trailer / caravan weight limits must be observed.
Torque Specification: M10 Grade 10.9 = 60Nm
