Assembly Instructions
The assembly process involves several steps, illustrated by figures. Key components and their quantities are shown in the diagrams.
Step 1: Mounting the Carrier
Refer to figures 1-9 for the detailed assembly steps. This typically involves attaching various brackets and components to the carrier frame and preparing it for mounting onto the towbar.
Step 2: Mounting Bikes on the Platform
Place the bikes in the tyre carriers. Fasten the grip on the bike frame. The bikes should be turned opposite each other. Fasten the wheel straps.
Step 3: Opening the Boot/Tailgate
Hold the bike platform with one hand and pull the tilt handle with the other. Tilt the platform down until it rests on the ground or reaches its lowest position. The boot can now be opened. Remember to tilt the platform back up before driving.
Step 4: Securing the Carrier to the Towbar
Detailed instructions for attaching the carrier to the towbar are provided in the diagrams (e.g., Figure 8 shows a sequence of actions A, B, C).
Step 5: Final Checks and Adjustments
After initial mounting, drive a short distance and check all connections. Tighten or adjust as needed. Regular checks are crucial.
