Safety Instructions
Read these instructions and safety instructions carefully before assembly and use. The manufacturer cannot accept liability for personal injury or material damage resulting from failure to follow the instructions.
- Be careful when driving through underpass, tunnel, car park, and garage etc.
- After driving a short distance, double-check that all screw unions and other connections are tight, and retighten if necessary. Re-check at regular intervals during the trip. Replace straps and screw unions immediately if they are worn or damaged.
- Braking and accelerate smoothly.
- Avoid sharp swerves. Do not turn at speeds over 40 km/h.
- Do not drive at speeds over 40 km/h in heavy traffic.
- Do not exceed speed limits. Never drive faster than 120 km/h with a bike on the bike carrier.
- Before starting and after driving a short distance, double-check that all screw unions and other connections are tight, and that the product is in good condition. Retighten, if necessary. Re-check at regular intervals during the trip.
- Do not cover bikes with material that can get blown away.
- Clean the product with a damp cloth or alcohol after use. Lubricate all screw unions with a suitable oil and store the product in a dry place. Remove the bike carrier before washing the car. Do not expose the product to solvents or caustic solutions.
Assembly and Usage
The bike carrier can be assembled and mounted in two different ways:
- With the U-fasteners round a square profile. (Illustrated in Figure 2)
- On a roof rack with T-slot. (Illustrated in Figure 3)
Mounting the Bike
Follow these steps to mount a bicycle onto the carrier:
- Start by opening the wheel straps on the wheel stops.
- Place the bike on the carrier as shown in the illustration. (Refer to Figure 4)
- Lock the bike frame by following steps 1-5. (Illustrated in Figure 4)
- Adjust if necessary the distance to the frame on the actual bike. (Refer to Figure 5)
- Adjust if necessary the distance between the wheel stops. (Refer to Figure 6)
- Tighten the wheel straps. (Refer to Figure 7)
- Remove all spanners and similar tools once the bike is secured. (Refer to Figure 8)
