Battery Information and Charging
Battery Warning:
- Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged!
- Do not open!
- Do not dispose of in fire!
- Do not mix old and new batteries!
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries!
- Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged!
- Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision!
- The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited!
Battery Connection:
- Open the boot lid and connect the battery with the cable of the body.
- Only plug matching connectors into each other and be sure not to reverse the polarity.
Charging Your Vehicle:
- The power switch must be turned in the OFF position when charging.
- Insert the charger (4) into the socket (LED lights green). Connect the charger to the charging socket.
- The LED on the charger lights red while the battery is charging. It turns green when the battery is fully charged.
- Charge time: 9 hours.
- Do not charge the battery more than once within 24 hours.
- Charger and battery may heat up during charging.
Attention:
- Allow the model to cool down sufficiently after each use before operating again. If using a spare battery, allow a minimum 15-minute cooling phase between battery changes. Overheating can damage electronics or cause fire.
- Always disconnect the model from the charger immediately after charging. Always disconnect the charger from the power supply immediately after disconnecting the model. Leaving the model or charger connected after charging can cause damage to the model, charger, or power supply (fire hazard).
- Use the charger only in dry rooms.
Battery Safety:
- Always switch off the model immediately after each use. Disconnect the battery immediately after each use. Accidental continuous operation or leaving the battery connected can lead to deep discharge. Deep discharge can cause the battery to lose power or be damaged to the extent that charging or discharging is no longer possible, or the battery may self-ignite during charging or discharging (fire hazard). Never attempt to charge or discharge deeply discharged batteries. Battery voltage should not fall below 11.9 volts to avoid deep discharge. A fully charged battery has a voltage of approximately 13 volts. After use, the intact battery should be fully charged immediately after a cooling phase of at least 10 minutes, but at the latest after 12 hours, to avoid subsequent deep discharge by self-discharge. If the battery is not used or stored for a longer period, check the battery voltage (min. 12.3 volts) or for damage at least every 3 months and charge or dispose of it if necessary.
Troubleshooting
The vehicle does not run:
- The battery may be low on power. Charge the battery after each use, or at least once a month. Do not leave the battery on the charger for more than 9 hours.
- Cables are not connected properly (refer to page 4, battery connection).
- Electric system is damaged.
- Water may have corroded the system, or loose dirt, gravel, or sand might have jammed the switch.
If your problem cannot be solved, further troubleshooting and spare parts can be found on the Jamara website (www.jamara-shop.com) under article number 460294.
