Product Overview

The "DSO-510" is a practical and cost-effective handheld oscilloscope launched by FNIRSI, targeting maintenance, research and development, and education industries. This oscilloscope features a 48MS/s real-time sampling rate, 10MHz bandwidth, and complete trigger functions (Auto, Normal, Single). It can be used freely for periodic analog signals to non-periodic digital signals, measure voltages up to ±400V, and display measured waveforms efficiently with a one-button AUTO function without tedious adjustments. Additionally, it includes a versatile signal generator (50KHz). It is equipped with a 2.8-inch high-definition LCD display with a resolution of 320*240 and a built-in 1000mAh high-quality lithium battery, allowing approximately 4 hours of continuous use after a full charge.

Operation Method: Oscilloscope Panel Introduction

The oscilloscope display shows various parameters and waveform information. Key indicators include:

  1. Vertical Unit: Indicates the voltage represented by the vertical grid.
  2. Trigger Mode Icon: Indicates the trigger mode: Auto, Single, or Normal.
  3. Probe Attenuation Ratio: Must match the ×1/×10 switch setting on the probe handle. If the probe attenuation ratio is ×1, the oscilloscope must also be set to ×1. ×1 measures ±40V, and ×10 measures ±400V.
  4. Input Coupling Icon: AC indicates AC coupling, DC indicates DC coupling.
  5. Trigger Voltage Indicator.
  6. Trigger Position Indicator.
  7. Baseline Indicator: This icon shows the current position as 0V voltage.
  8. Horizontal Time Base: Indicates the length of time represented by the horizontal grid.
  9. Waveform Run/Pause Indicator: RUN indicates running, STOP indicates paused.
  10. Edge Trigger Indicator.
  11. V H (Wheel Button):
    • Slide left/right to change the time base.
    • Use Up/Down buttons to change the channel's vertical sensitivity.
    • ▶ ▼: Slide wheel button left/right to control horizontal trigger movement. Use Up/Down buttons to control channel waveform movement.
    • ◀ ▼: Slide wheel button left/right to control horizontal trigger movement. Use Up/Down buttons to control trigger level movement.

    Note: Press the MODE button to switch between the above modes.

  12. Battery Level Indicator.

Oscilloscope Parameter Settings Panel Introduction

To access the parameter settings, long press the MODE button from the oscilloscope screen. The settings panel allows configuration of:

  1. Waveform: Set coupling type, probe attenuation ratio, trigger mode, and edge trigger.
  2. Parameters: Display/hide measurement parameters (Frequency, Period, Positive Duty Cycle, Negative Duty Cycle, Positive Pulse Width, Negative Pulse Width, Max Value, Min Value, Peak-to-Peak Value, Amplitude, RMS Value, Average Value).
  3. Persistence Display: Set the duration of persistence display: Off, 500ms, 1s, ∞.
  4. Image: Display image.

Signal Generator Panel Introduction

The signal generator display shows various parameters and allows configuration of output waveforms. Key elements include:

  1. Output Waveform Selection: Choose the desired waveform type (e.g., Sine Wave, Square Wave, Sawtooth Wave, Half-wave, Full Wave, Step Wave).
  2. Waveform Display Area: Shows a visual representation of the selected waveform.
  3. Waveform Frequency: Displays and allows modification of the output waveform frequency.
  4. Waveform Duty Cycle: Displays and allows modification of the output waveform duty cycle.
  5. Waveform Amplitude: Displays and allows modification of the output waveform amplitude.
  6. Signal Generator Output Status Icon: Indicates the output status (red if off).
  7. Battery Level Indicator.

Settings Panel Introduction

The settings menu allows configuration of various device options:

  1. Configurable Items: Language, Volume and Brightness, Startup, Theme Color, Auto Shutdown, About, Reset.
  2. Setting Options:
    1. Language: Chinese, English.
    2. Volume and Brightness: Brightness adjustable from 25-100, Sound adjustable from 0-10.
    3. Startup: This setting is used to configure which function automatically starts upon power-on. Options include None, Oscilloscope, Signal Generator.
    4. Theme Color: Theme color can be set, with options for blue and yellow.
    5. Auto Shutdown: Select from OFF, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour.
    6. USB Sharing: This function allows connecting the device to a computer using a USB data transfer cable to transmit images.
    7. About: Displays details such as manufacturer and product version.
    8. Reset: Initializes settings to factory defaults.

Caution: Factory Reset will undo all previous changes!

Firmware Update

  1. Perform firmware updates with the product powered off. First, long press the power button (⏻) and then press the MODE button.
  2. Connect the product to a computer using a USB Type-C cable. The computer will recognize it as a USB drive named "IAP".
  3. Move the upgrade firmware to the USB drive. Once the firmware update is complete, the device will automatically jump to the APP.
