1. Product Introduction
The FNIRSI DSO510 is a highly practical and cost-effective handheld oscilloscope designed for the maintenance and education industries. This oscilloscope features a real-time sampling rate of 48MS/s, 10MHz bandwidth, and comprehensive triggering functions (single, normal, auto). It can be used for both periodic analog signals and non-periodic digital signals, measuring up to ±400V voltage with an efficient one-click AUTO function that displays waveforms without complex adjustments. Additionally, it includes a multi-function signal generator (50KHz). The device is equipped with a 2.8-inch 320x240 resolution HD LCD screen and a built-in 1000mAh high-quality lithium battery, providing approximately 4 hours of use on a full charge.
2. Panel Introduction
The DSO510 Digital Oscilloscope features a user-friendly panel layout. Key components include:
- DSO Input: For oscilloscope signal input.
- DDS Output: For signal generator output.
- Square Wave Calibration: Used for calibrating the square wave.
- Wheel Button: Functions as left, OK (press), and right controls.
- AUTO Button: For automatic measurement.
- MODE Button: To switch measurement modes or access parameter settings.
- Up Button (▲): For upward selection or parameter adjustment.
- Down Button (▼): For downward selection or parameter adjustment.
- RUN Button: To run or pause waveform display, or enable/disable signal output.
- Reset Hole: For device reset.
- Charging Indicator Light: Red indicates charging, green indicates fully charged.
- TYPE-C Charging Interface (5V/1A): For device charging.
- Power Button: To power the device on or off.

5. Screen Indication
5.1 Oscilloscope Interface
The oscilloscope interface displays various parameters and waveform information. Key indicators include:
- Vertical unit: Represents the voltage per large grid in the vertical direction.
- Trigger mode indicator icon: "Auto" for automatic triggering, "Single" for single triggering, "Normal" for normal triggering.
- Probe ratio: Must be consistent with the 1X/10X switch on the probe handle. In 1X mode, the oscilloscope measures 40V; in 10X mode, it measures 400V.
- Input coupling method indicator icon: "AC" for AC coupling, "DC" for DC coupling.
- Trigger voltage indicator icon.
- Trigger position indicator icon.
- Baseline indicator icon: Indicates the current position as 0V voltage.
- Horizontal time base: Represents the length of time per large grid in the horizontal direction.
- Run pause indicator icon: "RUN" indicates running, "STOP" indicates pause.
- Trigger edge indicator icon.
- V H: Left/right controls the time base; up/down controls the vertical sensitivity of the channel.
- ▲▼: Left/right controls horizontal trigger movement; up/down moves the channel waveform up/down.
- ◀▶: Left/right controls horizontal trigger movement; up/down adjusts the trigger level.
- MODE button control switching icons.
- Battery level indicator.
5.2 Oscilloscope Parameter Settings Interface
This interface allows configuration of various oscilloscope parameters. The main sections are:
- Waveform: Set coupling type, probe ratio, trigger mode, and trigger edge.
- Parameter: Toggle parameter display for frequency, period, positive duty cycle, negative duty cycle, positive pulse width, negative pulse width, maximum value, minimum value, peak-to-peak value, amplitude, RMS value, and average value.
- Persistence: Set afterglow options: off, 500ms, 1s, or ∞.
- Image: View saved images.
5.3 Signal Generator Interface
The signal generator interface allows selection and configuration of output waveforms. Key elements include:
- Waveforms selection: Choose from Sine Wave, Square Wave, Sawtooth Wave, Half-wave, Full Wave, Step Wave.
- Display of waveforms.
- Frequency setting: Adjust the output frequency.
- Duty cycle setting: Adjust the duty cycle for applicable waveforms.
- Amplitude setting: Adjust the output amplitude.
- Opening and closing of signal generator: Indicated by graying out when closed.
- Battery level indicator.
5.4 Settings Interface
The settings interface allows customization of device behavior. Options include:
- Set single item selection: Language, Sound and light, Startup on boot, Theme, Auto Shutdown, USB Sharing, About, Factory Reset.
- Specific settings details:
- Language: Chinese, English.
- Sound and light: Brightness: 25-100; Sound: 0-10.
- Startup on Boot: Configure the device to start in off, oscilloscope, or signal generator mode automatically.
- Theme: Blue, Yellow.
- Auto shutdown: Options include off, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour.
- USB Sharing: When enabled, the device can connect to a computer via USB to transfer pictures.
- About: Displays brand information and version number.
- Factory Reset: Resets all previous changes.
Caution: Factory Reset will undo all previous changes!
6. Firmware Update
To update the firmware:
- While the device is shut down, press and hold the power button ⏻.
- Use a Type-C cable to connect the device's Type-C port to a computer. A USB drive named "IAP" will appear on the computer.
- Drag the firmware file into the "IAP" USB drive. Once the firmware upgrade is complete, the device will automatically jump to the APP.
Notice: Firmware upgrade only supports Windows 10 and above systems. During the upgrade process, the power button must be kept pressed until the file transfer is complete.
7. Points for Attention
- After receiving the device, please fully charge it before use.
- When using the oscilloscope, pay attention to the selection of the gear, ensuring it is consistent with the probe's gear.
- When measuring high voltage, do not touch any metal parts of the oscilloscope to avoid electric shock.
- Avoid conducting high-voltage tests while the device is charging.
- When calibrating, it is necessary to unplug the BNC probe or short circuit the positive and negative terminals of the probe.
- USB firmware upgrade only supports Windows 10 and above. Dragging files other than the released firmware is prohibited, as it may cause irreparable consequences.
- Please charge using the voltage within the specifications provided in the instruction manual.
