Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble your VANQUISH metal detector:

1. Connect Lower Shaft: Attach the lower shaft to the mid shaft.
2. Connect Control Box: Connect the mid shaft to the control box.
3. Attach Coil: Secure the search coil to the lower shaft.
4. Connect Coil Cable: Plug the coil cable into the control box.
5. Adjust Shaft Length: Extend or retract the shafts to achieve a comfortable length for detecting.

Diagrams show the sequential connection of shaft sections and coil.

Quick Start

1. Power On: Press the power button. ?
2. Wait: Allow approximately 5 seconds for the device to initialize.
3. Start Detecting: Begin your search.

Search Modes ?

The VANQUISH 440/540 offers multiple search modes:

• COINS: Ideal for finding coins from around the world while ignoring trash in parks and on beaches.
• RELICS: Designed to find deep relics in fields and forests.
• JEWELLERY: Helps recover precious jewellery, even if lost in challenging locations.
• CUSTOM: A user-customizable mode, optimized to minimize unwanted trash signals.

Controls

Understanding the control panel:

1. BACKLIGHT (540)

Turns the display backlight on/off.

2. POWER ON/OFF ?

Press to turn the device on or off.

3. VOLUME ADJUST ?

Controls the audio volume.

4. ALL METAL*

Activates all-metal detection mode. *Press and hold for 2s for iron bias (540).

5. TARGET ID

Indicates the likely type of metal detected.

6. SENSITIVITY ADJUST ⚙️

Adjusts the detector's sensitivity to targets.

7. ACCEPT/REJECT ✔️/❌

Used to accept or reject specific target IDs.

8. DISCRIMINATION PATTERN ADJUST

Modifies the discrimination pattern.

9. SEARCH MODE ?

Selects the desired search mode.

10. BLUETOOTH ON/OFF ? (540)

Connects to Bluetooth headphones.

11. TARGET ID INDICATOR ?

Shows the target identification number.

Display Indicators

Key indicators on the display:

12. BATTERY LEVEL ?

Shows remaining battery power.

13. BACKLIGHT INDICATOR (540)

Indicates if the backlight is active.

14. BLUETOOTH ON/OFF ? (540)

Shows Bluetooth connection status.

15. VOLUME LEVEL ?

Visual representation of the current volume setting.

16. SENSITIVITY LEVEL ⚙️

Visual representation of the current sensitivity setting.

17. IRON BIAS INDICATOR

Indicates if iron bias is active.

18. TARGET ID NUMBERS ?

Numerical identification of detected targets.

19. DEPTH INDICATOR ?

Estimates the depth of the detected target.

20. SEARCH MODES ?

Displays the currently selected search mode.

21. DISCRIMINATION SEGMENTS

Visualizes the discrimination pattern.

22. TARGET INDICATOR ➡️

Points to the detected target's location.
