Introduction
This guide provides instructions for setting up and using the CLEAR Connect™ translation service from Audio Enhancement. It covers linking devices, initiating translation sessions, student access, and troubleshooting.
Linking XD Clear Bridge™
The XD Clear Bridge™ is required to send audio to CLEAR Connect™ and the translation service. Follow these steps to link it:

Use the included USB-C cable to connect the XD Clear Bridge to the teacher computer. Ensure "Input Audio" in the computer's sound settings is set to "XD Audio Bridge".

Press the Link button on the front of the compatible XD Receiver or amplifier. Look for a blinking yellow LED indicator.

With the XD Clear Bridge connected to a USB port on the computer, press the Link button on the back of the XD Clear Bridge unit. The XD Clear Bridge LED will slowly blink Green when plugged into a USB port. After pressing the Link button, the XD Clear Bridge LED will blink Green rapidly until the link is completed.

Successful linking will be indicated by a beep through the system. On the front of the amplifier, an additional green LED will illuminate, and a solid green LED will be visible on the rear of the XD Clear Bridge.

Using CLEAR Connect
Once your XD Clear Bridge and XD Microphone units are linked to a compatible XD Receiver, you can utilize the CLEAR Connect translation service.

Ensure your XD Teacher Microphone and any additional microphones are linked to the classroom's XD Receiver. For instructions on linking microphones, refer to their associated quick start guides, available at

To begin a CLEAR Connect session, visit
https://aeclearconnect.com

- On the Teacher Experience screen, enter a session name for your students and select the language you will be instructing in.
- Press "Start Translation".

A session code will be provided (Figure 2). This code is used by students to access the translated instructions.

NOTE: On first usage, your browser may prompt you to allow the app to use the XD Clear Bridge as a microphone. Click the "Allow while visiting the site" button to ensure the app always uses the microphone without prompting.
Student Access to CLEAR Connect
Students can access CLEAR Connect through https://aeclearconnect.live
. Upon visiting the site, students will enter their names, select their desired translation language, and input the Session Code provided by the instructor. They should click "Join Translation Session" once all information is entered to access the translated instructions (Figure 3).

The Student Experience (Figure 4) displays session information and the translated teacher instruction. Students can switch between their native language and the instructor's language, read the provided transcription, and mute the translated audio using the speaker icon ?.

Closing a CLEAR Connect Session
CLEAR Connect sessions automatically close after 90 minutes of translation. An instructor can also close a session manually at any time using the "Close Session" button (Figure 5) located in the top right corner of the interface. Once a session is closed, all users are removed, and a new session must be started to continue.

Students can leave a session independently by clicking the "Leave Session" button (Figure 6), also found in the top right corner of the interface. Instructors have the ability to manually remove students from sessions via the "Listeners" tab on the main CLEAR Connect interface by clicking the red ❌ button next to a student's name (Figure 7).

Troubleshooting
CLEAR Connect Not Recognizing XD Clear Bridge
To resolve issues where the CLEAR Connect service does not recognize the XD Clear Bridge:
- Ensure the USB connection from the XD Clear Bridge to your computer is active.
- In Windows, navigate to Settings, then Sound.
- Locate the device labeled "Digital Audio Bridge".
- Verify that the device is active and set as an "Audio Input Device".
- The LED indicator on the XD Clear Bridge should be green if the device is correctly connected and functioning.
Network and Content Filtering Requirements
To ensure seamless connection to CLEAR Connect, the following internet addresses must be accessible from your staff and student devices and networks. Any network restrictions or content filtering services must be configured to allow access to these sites:
