General Installation Instructions
Before beginning installation, ensure you have all the necessary parts listed below. It is recommended to consult the specific torque settings from your motorcycle's OEM maintenance manual. If no specific torque is provided, a torque of 54Nm is recommended for all M10 screws.
It is advisable to use a medium-strength liquid thread-locker (e.g., Loctite) on all screws, bolts, and nuts to ensure secure fastening.
After the initial ride, it is crucial to re-check the tightness of all fasteners, ideally after the first 50 km.
Important Note: If you are not a trained mechanic, please contact a specialist workshop for installation. Motoplastic, S.A. disclaims all responsibility for damages caused by improper installation. The use of crash pads does not guarantee complete protection in case of accidents. Motoplastic-Puig declines any responsibility in case of motorcycle damage.
This accessory has been verified for the basic configuration of the motorcycle. For models with extra factory settings, compatibility cannot be assured without prior consultation. Puig declines any eventual claims related to compatibility.
Right Side Assembly
Step 1: Mount the crash protection system on the right side of the motorcycle.
Attach the metallic right plate (Item 8) to the motorcycle's engine chassis.
Insert the aluminum right spacer (Item 6, 20mm) through the plate (Item 8).
Slide the Nylon protector (Item 5, 85mm) onto the assembly.
Secure the protector and plate to the frame using the M10/150x55 DIN912 screw (Item 2) and an M10 DIN125/A washer (Item 4).
The other end of the protector (Item 5) is supported by the aluminum spacer Ø22x46 (Item 12) and capped with the M10 plastic cap (Item 15).
Step 2: Finalize the right side assembly.
Ensure all components are securely tightened.
Place the covers (Item 1) as shown in the diagrams.
Left Side Assembly
Step 3: Mount the crash protection system on the left side of the motorcycle.
Attach the metallic left plate (Item 9) to the motorcycle's engine chassis.
Insert the aluminum left spacer (Item 7, 57mm) through the plate (Item 9).
Slide the Nylon protector (Item 5, 85mm) onto the assembly.
Secure the protector and plate to the frame using the M10/150x100 DIN912 screw (Item 3) and an M10 DIN125/A washer (Item 4).
The other end of the protector (Item 5) is supported by the aluminum spacer Ø24x27.5 (Item 13) and capped with the M10 plastic cap (Item 15).
Step 4: Finalize the left side assembly.
Ensure all components are securely tightened.
Place the covers (Item 1) as shown in the diagrams.
