General Instructions
To ensure proper installation and safety, please read these instructions carefully before proceeding. It is recommended to mount one side of the engine guard first, then the other. Failure to do so may leave the engine unsupported.
Torque Specifications: All replaced screws must be tightened to the torque specified in the motorcycle's OEM maintenance manual. If no specifications are provided:
- M10 screws: 54 Nm
- M8 screws: 22 Nm
Recommendations:
- Use a medium strength liquid thread-locker (e.g., Loctite) to secure all screws, bolts, and nuts.
- All fasteners should be checked after driving the first 50 km (approx. 30 miles) to ensure they are tightened to the proper torque.

Assembly Instructions
The following steps detail the installation process. Refer to the parts list and diagrams for component identification.
Right Side Assembly
Diagram Description: This visual guide shows the placement and attachment of the engine guard system on the right side of the Suzuki DL 1050 V-Strom. It highlights the main right-side protector (ID 1) and the central connecting pipe (ID 3) being secured to the motorcycle's frame. The diagram indicates the use of specific screws (e.g., ID 7 for M10, ID 4 for M8), washers (e.g., ID 5, 16), nuts (e.g., ID 6, 17), and spacers (e.g., ID 9, 14) at designated mounting points. The engine guard is shown contouring the engine area for protection.
Installation Steps (Right Side):
- Begin by attaching the right side protector (ID 1) and the central pipe (ID 3) to the motorcycle frame.
- Secure these components using the following fasteners as indicated:
- M10/125x80 DIN912 allen screw (Right) (ID 7) with Spacer Ø22.5 x Ø10.5 long. 17mm (Right) (ID 9).
- M8x35 DIN912 black allen screw (ID 4) with M8 DIN125/A black washer (ID 5) and M8 DIN6923 black nut (ID 6).
- Use M12 DIN125/A washer (ID 16) and M12 DIN985 locknut (ID 17) for appropriate connections.
