Quick Start Guide

Follow these four simple steps to begin detecting:

  1. Turn On the Detector: Press the power button.
  2. Choose Search Mode: Select the mode best suited for your environment.
  3. Eliminate Interference: Adjust settings to minimize unwanted signals.
  4. Start Detecting: Begin your search.

Search Modes

The Manticore offers various search modes tailored for different conditions:

All-Terrain

Ideal for areas with a lot of trash, fields, and historical sites. Suitable for most general detecting conditions.

Perfect for all high-salinity terrains – dry/wet sand, surf, and underwater.

Gold Terrain

Ideal for prospecting gold nuggets in mineralized gold terrains.

Guidance: If unsure which mode to select, use the Generic mode that best matches your detecting environment.

Assembly

Connect the different shaft sections of your Manticore detector:

  1. Connect the lower shaft to the control box.
  2. Connect the middle shaft to the lower shaft.
  3. Attach the search coil to the lower shaft.
  4. Secure all connections using the camlocks.

Camlock Tightening

Ensure secure connections by properly tightening the camlocks. Retighten if they slip or if there is play.

  • Open: [Open] the camlock lever.
  • Tighten: Gently and progressively tighten the camlock.
  • Close: [Close] the camlock lever.
  • Check: Verify the connection is secure and repeat if necessary. [Repeat]

Charging

Charge your detector for optimal performance.

Charging Time: Approximately 7-8 hours for a full charge.

Important Charging Information:

  • Use a quality USB charger with a minimum capacity of 5V 2A. Poor quality chargers may not function correctly. Look for certifications like CE, EAC, Intertek on chargers.
  • Recharge the detector only within ambient temperatures ranging from 0 °C to +40 °C.
