Attaching the Front Wheel to Your Jogger
General Front Wheel Attachment Procedure
Follow these steps to attach either the fixed or swivel front wheel to your jogger stroller:
- Unfold the stroller and lean it backward so it rests on the handle and rear axle frame, with the front wheel forks pointing upward. (See Figure 1: Stroller tilted backward, front forks up).
- Ensure the brake release lever is in the open position. (See Figure 6: Brake release lever shown in open position).
- The front wheel features a quick-release attachment system. Open the quick-release mechanism sufficiently for the wheel to slide onto the forks. Rotate the lever forward to loosen one side (See Figure 2a: Loosening lever) and loosen the finger nut on the other side (See Figure 2b: Loosening finger nut).
- Slide the front wheel onto the front forks. (See Figure 3a: Sliding wheel onto forks).
- Align the tab on the Retainer Plate with the Slot on both sides of the forks. (See Figure 3c: Aligning retainer plate tab with fork slot).
- With the wheel in position, tighten the finger nut on the axle until it is very close to contacting the fork. Then, rotate the lever to tighten it securely (See Figure 4: Tightening nut and lever).
- Close the lever (See Figure 5: Lever in closed position). You should feel significant resistance, and the wheel should be held tightly. If it is not secure, open the lever, tighten the finger nut slightly more, and close the lever again. Repeat this process until the wheel is held firmly. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.
- Close the brake release lever by rotating it toward the front of the stroller. (See Figure 6: Closing brake release lever).
⚠ WARNING: Always ensure the quick-release lever is in the closed position before use. Leaving the lever open can cause the wheel to detach.
Swivel Front Wheel Specific Adjustment
For swivel front wheels, if you experience excessive wobble during use (walking or jogging):
- Adjust the front wheel housing nut. This nut is located beneath the footrest at the front of the jogger.
- Use a standard crescent wrench to tighten the nut. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN, as this can damage the wheel housing. (See Figure 6: Location of adjustment nut).
