IMPORTANT: Before assembly and each use, inspect this product for damaged hardware, loose joints, missing parts, or sharp edges. NEVER use if any parts are missing or broken.
IMPORTANT: Adult assembly is required.
Type 1: Fixed Front Wheel Assembly
After removing the stroller from the box, the front wheel, rear wheels, fender, and parent tray need to be installed.
Front Wheel Installation (Type 1):
- Lean the stroller backwards so it rests on the handle and rear axle frame, with the front wheel forks pointing upward.
- Ensure the brake release lever is in the open position.
- The front wheel features a quick release attachment system. Open the quick release by rotating the lever forward to loosen one side and loosening the finger nut on the other side.
- Slide the front wheel onto the front forks, ensuring the front forks are in the correct position.
- Align the tab on the Retainer Plate with the slot on both sides of the forks.
- Tighten the finger nut on the axle until it is very close to the fork, then rotate the lever to tighten.
- Close the lever. You should feel significant resistance, indicating the wheel is held tightly. If not, open the lever, tighten the finger nut slightly, and close the lever again. Continue until the wheel is held tightly. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.
- Ensure the lever is in the closed position before use, as leaving it open can cause the wheel to fall off.
- Close the brake release lever by rotating it toward the front of the stroller.
Fender Installation (Type 1):
- Use the 4 provided screws.
- Examine the bottom of the front fender; it has four 1/4 inch diameter plastic tubes.
- Line up these tubes with the holes in the front frame assembly.
- Press the front fender onto the front frame assembly.
- Insert the 4 screws through the underside of the front frame assembly into the fender's plastic tubes. Tighten the screws only until snug. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.
Type 2: Swivel Front Wheel Assembly
After removing the stroller from the box, the front wheel, rear wheels, fender, and parent tray need to be installed.
Front Wheel Installation (Type 2):
- Lean the stroller backwards so it rests on the handle and rear axle frame, with the front wheel forks pointing upward.
- If you experience front wheel wobble, you may need to adjust the front wheel housing nut located under the footrest using a crescent wrench. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN, as this can damage the wheel housing.
Fender Installation (Type 2):
- Use the 5 provided screws.
- Examine the bottom of the front fender; it has four 1/4 inch diameter plastic tubes.
- Line up these tubes with the holes in the front frame assembly.
- Press the front fender onto the front frame assembly.
- Insert the 5 screws through the underside of the front frame assembly into the fender's plastic tubes. Tighten the screws only until snug. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.
Rear Wheel Installation:
- Lean the stroller forward to rest on the front wheel.
- Push each wheel's axle into the plastic corner fitting. Depress the metal lever on the inside of the corner fitting as you push the axle in.
- When the wheel will not go on further, release the lever.
- Check that the wheel has locked by pulling on it. If not locked, lift the lever, push the wheel further, and release the lever.
- Ensure the wheels are firmly locked into place. NEVER use the stroller if the wheels are not locked. Contact customer service if assistance is needed.
Parent Tray Installation:
- Position the parent tray in the center of the stroller handle.
- Snap the upper portion of the tray over the handle.
- Attach the lower portion of the parent tray to the cross tube using the provided screws.
WARNING: Do not place hot liquids or more than 3 pounds in the parent tray. Serious burns or unstable conditions could result.
Canopy Operation:
- To open the canopy: push forward on the front edge and push downward on the tensioners to secure.
- To fold the canopy: pull upwards on the tensioners and then pull backwards on the front edge.
MP3 Speaker (if equipped):
The canopy may include a speaker in a pocket. Connect the speaker wire's male jack to your MP3 player to listen to music.
Your stroller is now ready to use.
Safety Precautions Before Use
Before placing your children in the stroller, please follow these instructions:
WARNING: Always check with your pediatrician for a recommended starting age/weight for your baby in an all-terrain stroller.
WARNING: Always set brakes when the stroller is not being pushed so that it will not roll away. NEVER leave the stroller unattended on a hill or incline, as it may slide down.
Brakes:
- To engage rear wheel brakes: Apply light downward pressure to the brake lever on each rear wheel. You may need to slightly move the stroller forward or backward to align the brake teeth with the wheel brake cluster. Check that the stroller does not move and both brakes are properly applied.
- To release rear wheel brakes: Gently lift up on the brake lever.
- Caliper Brake System (Type 1 only): This front wheel bicycle-style caliper brake system is designed to assist in slowing the stroller on hills or in emergencies. Squeeze the brake handle to slow the stroller. This hand brake is not to be used as a parking brake.
Front Swivel Wheel Lock (Type 2 only):
WARNING: Always lock the front swivel wheel in the straight position before placing or removing children from the jogger.
The Type 2 jogger has a front wheel locking device. A remote release lever is located under the right side handle. Pull to disengage the wheel and push to engage the locking device located under the footrest. The front wheel lock operates either horizontally (left to right) or vertically (top to bottom) to lock and unlock the wheel.
Safety Harness:
WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the safety harness.
STRANGULATION HAZARD: Child can strangle in loose straps. Never leave child in seat when straps are loose or undone.
To Secure the Child:
- The 5-point harness shoulder straps have 2 attachment positions. Select the position that places the shoulder strap level with, or below, the top of the child's shoulder.
- Carefully place the child in the stroller seat. Bring the safety harness around the child's waist and over the shoulders. Place the crotch strap between the child's legs.
- Insert the male end of each shoulder/waist belt into the buckle on the crotch strap.
- Tighten the harness to be snug around the child's waist and over the child's shoulders.
- To release: Apply pressure to both sides of each male clip until it releases. This requires moderate effort to prevent accidental release by the child.
Seatback Positioning:
The seat has a multiple-position recline controlled by a strap and buckle assembly behind the seat. To recline, loosen the strap through the buckle and adjust. To place the seat back in a more upright position, press upward on the seat back while pulling the strap through the buckle. The strap will lock automatically.
The upright position should be used only for a child at least 6 months old. Always readjust the safety harness when repositioning the seatback.
Jogging with Your Stroller:
When jogging with your child, use these safety features:
- LOCK THE FRONT SWIVEL WHEEL IN STRAIGHT POSITION (Type 2 only).
- SAFETY WRIST STRAP: Always connect the safety strap to either wrist when jogging. This strap prevents the stroller from rolling away if you trip. The strap must remain connected to the rear lower frame cross member at all times to prevent tipping backward if you fall. The strap includes a Velcro attachment for storage on the left side of the stroller when not in use.
- CALIPER BRAKE SYSTEM: Squeeze the brake handle to slow the stroller (Type 1 only). Do not use as a parking brake.
Tires:
Tires are shipped un-inflated. Inflate tires regularly to between 20 to 25 pounds of air pressure using a bicycle-style hand air pump.

Trigger Release (Type 1 & 2):
To Fold Stroller:
- Close the canopy and recline the seat.
- Simultaneously pull each trigger fold.
- When fold latches release, the handle will begin to fall. Release the fold buttons and press downward on the stroller handle until completely folded.
- Secure the stroller in the folded position by hooking the fold latch over the frame rivet.
To Unfold Stroller:
- Stand the stroller on the ground with all three wheels touching the ground.
- Release the folding latch on the right side.
- Lift up on the stroller handle with both hands until the stroller frame is erect and locked in the open position.
- Test that both spring-loaded latches on the frame sides are fully engaged before placing your child in the stroller.
Troubleshooting
Stroller Pulls to One Side (Type 1: Fixed Front Wheel):
This can be caused by unequal tire pressure or front wheel alignment.
- Tire Pressure: Ensure rear tires have equal pressure. Inflate to a maximum of 25 pounds using a bicycle-style hand air pump.
- Front Wheel Alignment:
- Loosen the front wheel via the quick release handle.
- Grab the front wheel and push it in the opposite direction of the pulling problem. The axle should move within the fork slot.
- Move the wheel a small amount and retighten the quick release handle.
- Test the stroller by pushing it straight. Re-adjust the axle slightly as needed until the stroller runs straight. A very minute movement can affect tracking.
- The fork slot allows adjustment for pulling right, straight, or left.
- If difficulty persists, contact customer service.
Caliper Brake Does Not Slow the Stroller Down:
The stroller is equipped with a bicycle-style caliper brake.
- Ensure the quick release lever is in the down (open) position.
- If the problem persists, brake cable tension may need adjustment.
- Fine-tuning tension: Turn the tension nut on the brake cable (just above the caliper) counter-clockwise to increase tension.
- Adjusting cable length: If fine-tuning is insufficient, return the tension nut to its factory setting (clockwise until it stops). Loosen the cable clamp nut. Squeeze the caliper so brake pads touch the rim. Pull the cable through the clamp nut to remove slack. Retighten the cable clamp nut. Retest braking and fine-tune tension.
- Most bicycle shops can perform this adjustment. Reverse steps if brakes are too tight.
Type 2: Swivel Front Wheel Issues:
- Wheel Adjustment: Strollers can deviate due to tire pressure, installation, or road conditions. Refer to assembly instructions (pages 3/5) to realign the front wheel if the stroller significantly tracks or pulls to the left or right on flat terrain.
- Flat Tire: The stroller uses bicycle tires. If you get a flat tire, you can use a standard bicycle tire repair kit or take it to a bicycle shop. Consider purchasing thorn-proof inner tubes if flats are frequent. Check the tire sidewall for the correct size.
