⚠️ WARNING: Never leave children unattended.

⚠️ WARNING: Wheel can detach and cause tip over. Pull on the wheel to assure it is securely attached.

❗ CAUTION: This double jogger is designed for two children of equal/close weights. Use with one child may cause unbalance and injure your child.

Purses, shopping bags, parcels, diaper bags, or accessory items may change the stroller's balance and cause hazardous unstable conditions.

Maximum weight capacity: Basket 5 lbs (2.26 kg), Parent Tray 3 lbs (1.36 kg). Side pockets (2) 3 lbs (1.36 kg), Back pockets (2) 3 lbs (1.36 kg), Canopy pockets (2) 1 lb (0.45 kg). Excessive weight can cause instability.

Ensure the stroller is fully erect and latched in the open position before allowing children near it.

Maximum weight capacity: up to 100 lbs (50 lbs per child) (45 kg) or 40 inches (101.6 cm). Additional weight may cause excessive wear and stress, leading to hazardous unstable conditions.

NEVER use the stroller on stairways or escalators.

NEVER use the stroller with roller skates, in-line skates, skateboards, or bicycles.

We recommend the child occupant be at least 6 months of age prior to use for jogging. Consult your healthcare provider before jogging with your child.

NEVER allow your stroller to be used as a toy.

To clean, use mild household soap or detergent and warm water on a sponge or clean cloth.

Regularly check your stroller for loose screws, worn parts, torn material, or stitching. Replace or repair parts as needed.

Discontinue use if the stroller malfunctions or becomes damaged. Contact customer service for repair or replacement parts.

Assembly Instructions

General Assembly Notes

IMPORTANT! Follow these instructions carefully for safe operation. Keep for future reference.

IMPORTANT! Before assembly and each use, inspect for damaged hardware, loose joints, missing parts, or sharp edges. NEVER use if parts are missing or broken.

IMPORTANT! Adult assembly is required. Remove stroller from box. Front wheel, rear wheels, fender, and parent tray must be installed prior to use.

Front Wheel Assembly

⚠️ WARNING: This wheel uses a front wheel double nut locking system. Follow all instructions carefully to ensure your child's safety. Failure to do so could result in serious injury or death.

To attach the front wheel:

  1. Lean the stroller backwards so it rests on the handle and rear axle frame, with the front wheel forks pointing upward. [Illustration showing stroller tilted back with front forks pointing upwards].
  2. Slide the front wheel onto the front forks. [Illustration showing wheel being attached to forks].
  3. Slide the retainer plates onto the front wheel axle. Ensure the raised lip points toward the fork and insert into the fork's slot. Align the plate's tab with the slot before tightening the wheel. [Diagram showing retainer plate placement and alignment on the axle].
  4. Position the wheel correctly. Install axle nuts and tighten with a wrench until significant resistance is felt and the wheel is held tightly in place. [Diagram showing axle nuts being tightened].

Fender Assembly

To secure the fender to the frame, use the 4 provided screws.

  1. Examine the bottom of the front fender. You will notice four 1/4 inch diameter plastic tubes protruding from the bottom. [Diagram showing fender bottom with protruding tubes].
  2. Align these tubes with the holes in the front frame assembly. [Diagram showing alignment of tubes with frame holes].
  3. Line up the front fender and press onto the front frame assembly. [Diagram showing fender attachment to frame].
  4. Insert the 4 screws through the underside of the front frame assembly into the fender's plastic tubes. Tighten screws until snug. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. [Diagram showing screws being inserted into fender tubes].

Rear Wheel Assembly

Step 6: Lean the stroller forward to rest on the front wheel. To attach rear wheels, push each wheel's axle into the plastic corner fitting. Depress the metal lever inside the corner fitting while pushing the axle in. Release the lever when the wheel cannot go further.

NOTE: Check that rear wheels are locked by pulling on them. If not locked, lift levers, push wheels in further, and release levers to lock them.

Ensure wheels are firmly locked. NEVER use the stroller if wheels are not locked. Contact customer service immediately at 1-800-328-7363 (8:00 am - 4:30 pm PST) for assistance.

Parent Tray Assembly

⚠️ WARNING: Do not place hot liquids or more than 3 pounds in the parent tray. This could cause serious burns or unstable conditions.

Step 7: To attach the parent tray, position it in the center of the stroller handle.

  • Snap the upper portion of the tray over the handle. [Diagram showing tray snapping onto handle].
  • Attach the lower portion of the parent tray to the cross tube using the provided screws. [Diagram showing screws attaching tray to cross tube].

MP3 speakers plug into the parent tray and are compatible with most MP3 players.

Step 10: The parent tray includes speakers with an MP3 jack. Connect the male end of the speaker wire into your MP3 player to listen to music. [Diagram showing MP3 connection].

Pre-Use Safety Checks

Before placing your children in the stroller, please follow these instructions:

⚠️ WARNING: Always set brakes when the stroller is not being pushed to prevent it from rolling away. NEVER leave the stroller unattended on a hill or incline, as it may slide down.

⚠️ WARNING: Always lock the front swivel wheel in the STRAIGHT position before placing or removing children from the jogger.

Brakes

Step 11: To engage brakes, apply light downward pressure to the brake lever on each rear wheel. You may need to move the stroller slightly forward or backward to align the brake teeth with the wheel brake cluster. [Diagram of brake engagement on rear wheel].

NOTE: Check that the stroller will not move and both brakes are properly applied.

To release, gently lift the brake lever.

Front Wheel Lock

⚠️ WARNING: Always lock the front swivel wheel in the STRAIGHT position before placing or removing children, and when walking fast or jogging.

⚠️ FALL HAZARD: To prevent tip-over before running, jogging, or walking fast, lock the front wheel from swiveling.

Step 12: The front wheel has a swivel locking device. Push the wheel button upward to engage the lock and downward to disengage it. [Diagram of front wheel swivel lock mechanism].

Securing the Child

⚠️ WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the safety harness.

STRANGULATION HAZARD: Children can strangle in loose straps. Never leave a child in the seat when straps are loose or undone.

Step 13: The 5-point harness shoulder straps have 3 attachment positions. Select the position that places the shoulder strap level with, or below, the top of the child's shoulder. [Diagram showing harness strap positions].

Carefully place the child in the stroller seat. Bring the safety harness around the child's waist and over the shoulders. Place the crotch strap between the child's legs. Insert the male ends of the shoulder/waist belts into the crotch strap buckle. Tighten the harness to be snug around the child's waist and over the shoulders. [Diagram showing harness buckling and tightening].

Releasing the Child

Step 14 (Type 1): To release, push the button on the center clasp; the two harness buckles will pop free. [Diagram of Type 1 buckle release].

Step 14 (Type 2): To release, apply pressure to both sides of each male clip until it releases. This requires moderate effort to prevent accidental release by the child. [Diagram of Type 2 buckle release].

Seatback Positioning

Step 15: The seat has multiple recline positions controlled by a strap and buckle assembly behind the seat. [Diagram of recline mechanism].

To recline the seat, loosen the strap through the buckle and adjust to the required recline position. [Diagram showing recline adjustment].

To place the seat back in a more upright position, press upward on the seat back with one hand while pulling the strap through the buckle with the other. The strap will lock automatically.

The upright position should be used only for a child at least 6 months old. Always readjust the safety harness, including shoulder belts, when repositioning the seatback.

Jogging and Folding

Jogging with Your Stroller

⚠️ WARNING: Never jog or run with your newborn. Use for strolling only.

STRANGULATION HAZARD: Children have been strangled by straps wrapped around their necks. Remove straps when not in use and place them in the stroller storage pocket. Keep the stroller carrier strap out of children's reach.

When jogging with your child, use the following safety features:

16) LOCK THE FRONT SWIVEL WHEEL IN THE STRAIGHT POSITION.

  • SAFETY WRIST STRAP: Always connect the safety strap to either wrist when jogging. This strap will keep the stroller from rolling away if you trip while running. [Diagram showing wrist strap connection].
  • The safety strap must remain connected to the rear lower frame cross member at all times. This prevents the stroller from tipping backward if you fall. The strap includes an attachment for storage on the left side of the stroller when not in use. [Diagram showing strap attachment point].

Tire Inflation

17) Tires are shipped un-inflated. Inflate tires regularly to the specified P.S.I. on each tire. Always use a bicycle style hand air pump to inflate the tires. (*Not included).

To Fold Stroller

⚠️ WARNING: Be careful when folding the stroller to prevent finger entrapment.

CAUTION: Do not allow children near the stroller while folding.

Step 18: Close the canopy as described in the canopy section. Recline the seat by releasing the buckle as described in the seatback positioning section.

  • The stroller folds by simultaneously pulling each trigger. [Diagram showing folding triggers].
  • When the fold latches are released, the handle will begin to fall toward the floor. Release the fold buttons and press downward on the stroller handle until it is completely folded.
  • Secure the stroller in the folded position by locking the fold latch, located on the right side of the stroller, over the rivet that protrudes from the frame. [Diagram showing fold latch securing the folded stroller].

Unfolding and Maintenance

To Unfold Stroller

⚠️ WARNING: Be careful when unfolding the stroller to prevent finger entrapment.

CAUTION: Do not allow children near the stroller while unfolding.

Step 19: Stand the stroller on the ground with all three wheels touching the ground. Release the folding latch, located on the right side. [Diagram showing latch release].

  • Lift the stroller handle with both hands until the stroller frame is erected and locked in the open position. [Diagram showing stroller unfolding and locking].
  • The stroller has spring-loaded latches on both sides of the frame. Test that both latches are fully engaged before placing your child in the stroller.

Testing for Proper Wheel Installation

⚠️ WARNING: ALWAYS check the double nut locking system before each use to ensure the front wheel is securely fastened to the frame.

Step 20: Lift the front end of the stroller up and pull down on the wheel to ensure its attachment. The wheel should not be loose or come off. [Diagram showing wheel attachment check].

If you experience abnormal front wheel wobble while walking or jogging, you may need to adjust the front wheel housing nut.

Step 21: If you experience abnormal front wheel wobble, you may need to adjust the front wheel housing nut. This nut is located under the footrest at the front of the jogger. Use a crescent, box, or open end wrench to tighten the nut. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN, as this can cause damage to the wheel housing. [Diagram showing nut adjustment].

Wheel Adjustment

It should be noted that all three-wheel vehicles can be influenced to deviate from a straight line. Strollers may tend to pull left or right due to factors like uneven tire pressure, improper wheel installation, road conditions, and manufacturing tolerances. If your Baby Trend stroller significantly tracks or pulls left or right on flat terrain, follow the instructions on page 16 to realign your front wheel.

Flat Tire

The jogging stroller features bicycle tires for extended wear and ease of pushing. Like a bicycle tire, the jogging stroller can get flat tires.

If you have a flat tire, you can use a standard bicycle tire repair kit or take the tire to a bicycle shop for repair. If you experience frequent flat tires, consider purchasing thorn-proof inner tubes for the jogging stroller, available at bicycle stores or national retail stores. The correct size is shown on the tire sidewall.
