Vibration Black Hole M6 Thread Spikes

Quick Start Manual

This document provides a quick start guide for the Vera-Fi Audio Vibration Black Hole (VBH) M6 Thread Spikes. It outlines the components, usage instructions, and performance data to help users achieve optimal mechanical isolation for their audio equipment.

Parts Check List

Before assembly, verify that all items are included with your Vibration Black Hole (VBH) - M6 Thread Spikes. If any parts are missing, please contact Vera-Fi Audio, LLC at sales@verafiaudiollc.com.

Included Components:

[Image Description: The product packaging contains four VBH bases, which are cylindrical with a silver top and black body, and four pointed metal spike feet.]

Usage Instructions

Thank you for purchasing the VBH - M6 Thread Spikes. For best performance and mechanical isolation, follow these instructions. Setup is easiest and safest with assistance, especially for heavy or sensitive electronics.

Step 1: Unpack and Verify Components

Unpack and verify all components. Consider where you plan to use the VBH, ensuring a flat and solid surface.

Step 2: Prepare Equipment Placement

Locate where you will mount the included spikes to the bottom of your equipment. This area should be a clean and flat surface, even on all four sides of the component, to ensure weight is evenly distributed. In some cases, the spikes can be attached to the bottom of the stock feet. Ensure your equipment is turned off and disconnected for safety.

Step 3: Install Spikes

Remove your old feet if necessary. Thread the included adjustable spikes into the component. The nut should be at the lowest position initially to help level your equipment. Be aware that spikes can damage surfaces; please take precaution.

Step 4: Mount Component onto VBH Bases

With the spikes installed into your component, nestle the tip of each spike into the center point of the nylon puck of a VBH base. Adjust the height by unscrewing or tightening the spikes and then securing the nuts to the base to set the desired position.

[Image Description: A close-up view shows a spike being inserted into the center of a VBH base's nylon puck. The spike has a threaded shaft and a locking nut.]

Step 5: Final Stability Check and Connection

Once all four spikes are installed and set into the bases, test the component for stability. It should not rock and should be securely suspended by the VBH-1 system. Your device is now mechanically isolated by Vera-Fi Audio's unique CVLD system, absorbing vibration and impact energy. Reconnect your component(s) to your stereo system and enjoy the music.

Measurements

Measured Impact on Turntable Without VBH

[Graph Description: The first graph displays an oscilloscope reading showing a sharp, high-amplitude impact waveform with significant ringing and a decay time of approximately 20.40ms. The frequency is noted as 357.1Hz. The peak-to-peak voltage is 2.740V.]

Measured Impact on Turntable With VBH

[Graph Description: The second graph shows a similar impact test, but with the VBH system in place. The waveform shows a significantly reduced amplitude and much faster decay, indicating effective vibration dampening. The decay time is still around 20.40ms, but the initial impact energy is substantially lower. The frequency is noted as 167.4Hz. The peak-to-peak voltage is 1.820V.]

These measurements demonstrate the effectiveness of the VBH system in reducing impact energy transmitted to audio equipment.
