Parts Check List

Before assembly, ensure that all the following items have been included with your Vibration Black Hole - Standard Spikes. If anything is missing, please contact Vera-Fi Audio, LLC at sales@verafiaudiollc.com.

Usage Instructions

Thank you for your purchase of VBH! For best performance and mechanical isolation, please follow these instructions. Set-up is easiest and safest with assistance, especially with heavy or sensitive electronics.

  1. Unpack and verify all components. Consider where you plan to use VBH, ensuring a flat and solid surface.

[Image Description: A group of four silver and black cylindrical bases, each with a spike protruding from its center, and four separate black conical spikes. The bases are labeled "VBH by Vera-Fi Audio, LLC".]

  2. Locate where you will mount the included spikes to the bottom of your equipment. This should be a clean and flat surface that is even on all 4 sides of the component where weight will be evenly distributed. In some cases, the spikes can be attached to the bottom of the stock feet. Be sure that your equipment is off and disconnected for safety.

  3. Attach the double-sided adhesive dots to the bottom of the included spikes. Do not take off the second adhesive cover until ready to attach the spikes. This smooth surface will protect your equipment while experimenting with spike placement.

  4. Remove the component you wish to isolate and place the VBH feet where they will be supporting the equipment. Nestle the four spikes in the center of their respective bases and use the included plastic holders to keep the spikes in the upright position. The holders do not lock and are connected on one side by tape that can be removed if more convenient.

  5. Once all four spikes are installed and set into the bases, remove the pads from the adhesive and carefully lower your component onto the four spikes. Test the component for stability. It should not rock and should be securely suspended by VBH. Use a pen or other long object to open and remove the installation tools. Your device should now be mechanically isolated by Vera-Fi Audio's unique CVLD system, absorbing vibration and impact energy. Reconnect your component(s) to your stereo system and enjoy the music!

Measurements

The following graphs illustrate the performance of the Vibration Black Hole Standard Spikes:

Measured Impact on Turntable Without VBH

[Image Description: An oscilloscope graph showing a sharp initial spike in signal amplitude, followed by multiple decaying oscillations over approximately 20ms. The Y-axis shows voltage, and the X-axis shows time. The peak amplitude is around 24.6V, with a frequency of 357.1Hz.]

Measured Impact on Turntable With VBH

[Image Description: An oscilloscope graph showing a sharp initial spike in signal amplitude, similar to the previous graph, but with significantly reduced amplitude and much faster decay of oscillations over approximately 20ms. The peak amplitude is around 24.4V, with a frequency of 167.4Hz. The overall vibration energy is substantially lower.]
