Diagram Description
The diagram illustrates the Tow-Trust TV2VK towbar assembly. It depicts a central crossmember (A) which connects to the vehicle's chassis via left-hand (B) and right-hand (C) side arms. The assembly includes a detachable housing (D) and a flip-down socket plate (E) mounted on the crossmember. Various fasteners, including bolts (F, H, J, K, L), nuts (J, N), and washers (M, N, P), are shown in their respective positions, indicating how the components are joined together. The diagram provides a visual overview of the towbar's structure and its attachment points.
Installation Instructions
- Remove the rear bumper. Remove the tailgate guides (it is advised to mark the position of guides before removal to ensure correct location when refitted). Remove three fixings in each wheel arch and three fixings on the lower edge.
- Remove the six fixings securing the impact beam to the rear panel.
- Lower the exhaust from its rearmost hanger (two fixings on the back panel).
- Identify all Towbar mounting points and clear of any under seal or mastic.
- Place item B (L/H Side Arm) into the N/S Chassis and item C (R/H Side Arm) into the O/S chassis. Using item K (M10 x 45 Bolts) with item P (10 x 30 Flat Washers), loosely bolt through the vertical mounting points on the lower face of each chassis member.
- Using item J (M10 Nyloc Nuts) with item M (10 x 25 Flat Washers), loosely bolt each side arm (items B & C) to the captive studs on the rear panel.
- Using item L (M12 x 40 Bolts) with item N (12 x 25 Flat Washers), bolt item A (Crossmember) between item B and item C.
- Fully tighten all nuts and bolts, ensuring the Towbar is rigid and secure.
- Refit the foam bumper support to item A.
- Cut out Vauxhall's pre-marked area of the bumper for the Towbar assembly to pass through.
- It is recommended to locate your desired wiring kit (not supplied in this kit) into the vehicle now, as it may be difficult to access the vehicle once the bumper is refitted.
- Using item F (M12 x 22 Bolts) with item N (12 x 25 Flat Washers) and item H (M12 x 25 Bolts) with item N (12 x 25 Flat Washers), bolt item E (Flip Down Socket Plate) and item D (Detachable Housing) to item A.
- Refit the exhaust and rear bumper.
