Talk PRO USB Microphone Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Talk PRO microphone.
Step 1: Connect the Microphone
Connect the USB-C end of the cable to the Talk PRO microphone. Then, connect the other end (USB-A) to your PC's or Mac's USB input port.

Step 2: Verify Connection
Open the sound settings on your PC or Mac to confirm that the microphone is recognized and connected.

Step 3: Install Talk PRO on PC / MAC
For PC (Windows 7, 8, or 10):
- In the Start menu, open the Control Panel.
- In the Control Panel, select the Sound icon.
- Go to the Recording tab and select "JLab Talk PRO".
- Go to the Playback tab and select "JLab Talk PRO".
For Mac (macOS 10.10 or Later):
- Open System Preferences and select the Sound icon.
- Select the Input tab and choose "JLab Talk PRO".
- Select the Output tab and choose "JLab Talk PRO".
- Adjust the output volume to your desired level on this screen.
Controls and Features
Familiarize yourself with the controls on your Talk PRO microphone.
Front Panel Controls
- Recording Settings: Adjusts microphone input levels.
- Mute On/Off: Silences the microphone.
- Volume / Gain Interface: Controls overall output volume or input gain.
- Record On/Off: Starts or stops recording.
Back Panel Controls
- Gain Control: Adjusts the microphone's input sensitivity.
- Volume Control: Adjusts the headphone output volume.
Underside Ports
- 3.5mm AUX Output: For connecting headphones.
- 5/8" Connection: For mounting on a microphone stand.
- LED Control: Indicates microphone status.
- USB-C Input: For connecting to your computer.
Polar Patterns
The Talk PRO offers multiple polar patterns for different recording scenarios:

Usage Tips
For optimal performance, follow these guidelines:
- The Talk PRO is compatible with most recording software on macOS, Windows, and Linux. Adjust settings within your chosen software as needed.
- No additional drivers or software installation are required. Simply plug in the microphone and configure it in your system's device settings.
- The Talk PRO cannot be powered by a power bank or batteries. It requires a stable USB-A connection to an operating system.
Microphone Placement:
