This manual provides detailed instructions for the Hafele DL7800 and EL7800 Plus digital door locks.

Ensure you are familiar with the product features, safety precautions, and component overview before installation and operation.
Product Features
- Five-Way Solution: Supports PIN code, key card, fingerprint, smartphone access, and mechanical key override.
- Up to 100 fingerprints.
- Up to 70 key cards (Mifare and Rabbit Cards).
- Up to 35 PIN codes (4-12 digits combination), 1 master PIN code, 30 user PIN codes, and 4 guest PIN codes (one-time password).
Random Security Coding Function
When entering your PIN code, press any random numbers before and after your secret code to prevent others from seeing it.
Auto Lock / Auto Re-lock Function
The door lock automatically locks 2 seconds after closing (in auto locking mode). If the door is not opened after unlocking, it will re-lock after 7 seconds for enhanced security.
Privacy Mode (Double Lock Function)
When activated, the door cannot be opened from the outside using a registered PIN code, key card, or fingerprint.
Intruder Alarm Function
An alarm is triggered if the door is opened by force. The alarm can be deactivated by removing batteries or providing proper authorization.
Prevent Mischief and Hacking
If an incorrect PIN code, fingerprint, or card is entered five times consecutively, an alarm sounds, and the lock is suspended for 1 minute.
Alarm for Battery Replacement Time
When batteries are low, the lock emits 3 beeps and the low battery indicator lights up. Replace batteries immediately to prevent the lock from stopping.
Safety Precautions
- Do not disassemble or alter the digital door lock.
- Remove batteries immediately if the product generates harmful gases or smoke.
- Keep the product away from water or liquids.
- Check batteries every 6 months for leaks and clean terminals.
- Do not clean with flammable materials like alcohol or thinner.
- Do not expose batteries to heat sources, flames, or water.
- Do not allow battery electrodes to contact metal objects.
- Do not close the door with the deadbolt in the locked position.
- Do not force the front cover.
- Do not mix old and new batteries or use different types; always use new alkaline batteries.
- Ensure batteries are inserted correctly (+/-).
- Only use standard alkaline batteries.

Product Overview
External Handle Module: Features a fingerprint sensor, keypad, RFID card reader, emergency power source connector, emergency key hole, and external handle.
Internal Handle Module: Includes battery cover, auto/manual locking switch, mortise lock, deadbolt, latch, plug-in module location, R button (Registration), and button/Privacy button.

Symbol Meaning
User Operation:
- R [Registration Button]: After removing the battery cover, press the registration button on the internal handle module.
- MP [Master PIN Input]: Input current master PIN code (factory default: 1234).
- UP [User PIN Input]: Input user PIN code.
- [Fingerprint Sensor]: Press finger on the fingerprint sensor.
- [RFID Card Reader]: Show key card on the card reader.
- [Keypad Input]: Press numbers on the keypad following the symbol.
- [Press for 3 seconds]: Keep pressing for 3 seconds.
- [Press for 5 seconds]: Keep pressing for 5 seconds.
- [Star Key]: Press star key to confirm input or exit menu.
- [Hash Key]: Press sharp key to confirm deletion or factory reset.
Lock Operation Indicators:
- [Guest PIN Registration Numbers 1-4]: Numbers on the keypad light up according to guest registration number (1-4).
- [User PIN Registration Numbers 01-30]: Numbers on the keypad light up according to user registration number (01-30).
- [Key Card Registration Numbers 01-70]: Numbers on the keypad light up according to key card registration number (01-70).

Additional Lock Features
Privacy Mode ?
When privacy mode is activated, the door cannot be opened from outside with PIN code, key card, or fingerprint.
Activation: When the door is closed, press and hold the A
button for 3 seconds. Activation is confirmed with a melody.
Deactivation: Privacy mode is automatically deactivated by pressing down the handle from inside or pressing the button
1 time.
Volume Control ?
Adjust audible feedback volume in three levels (High, Low, Mute). Volume can only be adjusted when the door is unlocked.

One Time Mute ?
Press the #
button after waking up the keypad to silence all inputs for one-time use. This allows opening the door with PIN, card, fingerprint, or smartphone without sound notifications.
Auto/Manual Locking Mode ⚙️
This function allows activation or deactivation of automatic locking after the door is closed.
Activating Manual Locking Mode: After removing the battery cover, move the auto/manual locking switch up.
Activating Auto Locking Mode: After removing the battery cover, move the auto/manual locking switch down.
Relocking Function
If the door is not opened within 7 seconds after unlocking (via PIN, card, fingerprint, or smartphone), the lock will automatically re-lock.
Failed Locking Alarm Function
If the deadbolt cannot extend or retract properly during door operation, the lock will sound a "Bee-Bee-Bee-Bee" alarm three times.
Low Battery Warning ?
When batteries are low, the lock provides sound notifications (three "beeps") and the low battery indicator lights up. Replace all batteries immediately.
Note: Always replace all batteries with new, unused batteries from the same manufacturer.
Intruder Alert ?
An alarm (over 80 decibels) is triggered if the door is opened abnormally without proper authorization.
Alert Deactivation: Remove batteries or provide proper access authorization (registered PIN code, RFID card).
Warning Function Against Mischief or Hacking
If an unregistered PIN code, key card, or fingerprint is used five times in a row, an alarm sounds, and attempts are blocked for 1 minute.
High Temperature Alert ?️
The built-in temperature sensor triggers a fire alarm and automatically unlocks the door when detecting temperatures above 70°C (158°F).
Note: Prolonged direct sunlight exposure may activate the temperature sensor. The fire alarm will unlock the door even if privacy mode is active.

Note: Applying wrong codes 5 times triggers an alarm and blocks attempts for 1 minute. Successful authorization automatically re-locks the door if not opened within 7 seconds.
How to open by key card or fingerprint:
Present the registered key card to the RFID reader or use the registered fingerprint. The door unlocks with audible feedback.
Note: Wrong card/fingerprint 5 times triggers an alarm and blocks attempts for 1 minute. Successful authorization automatically re-locks the door if not opened within 7 seconds.
How to open by Mechanical Key
The mechanical key override can be used if the lock becomes unresponsive.
- Locate the mechanical key hole above the handle and slide the cover to the right.
- Insert the mechanical key into the cylinder and rotate it clockwise.
- After the deadbolt retracts, return the key to its entry position and remove it.
- Open the unlocked door by operating the handle. Ensure the key hole cover is closed.
Open the Door from Inside
Open with handle: The door can be unlocked and opened from inside anytime by pressing down the door handle.
Note: After pressing down the handle, the lock automatically re-locks if the door is not opened within 7 seconds.
Lock the Door from Outside
When auto locking is activated: The door automatically locks within 2 seconds after closing.
When manual locking is activated: The door can also be locked by touching the keypad.
Lock the Door from Inside
When auto locking is activated: The door lock automatically locks within 2 seconds after closing.
When manual locking is activated: The door can be locked by pressing the button

Note: The door must be open with the deadbolt retracted before operation. After reset, the master PIN code reverts to the factory default (1234).

Note: The door must be open with the deadbolt retracted before operation. After factory reset, the master PIN code reverts to 1234. All PIN codes, key cards, and fingerprints are deleted. Locking mode is set to auto locking, and volume control is high.
Emergency Power Source ⚡
The external emergency power connector allows temporary operation with a 9V battery.
- Connect a 9V battery to the emergency power connectors above the handle.
- Wake up the keypad and input your PIN code.
- Press

You can also unlock the door with a registered key card or fingerprint while using the emergency power source.
Optional Zigbee Function
The Zigbee module integrates your digital door lock with the "Hafele Smart Living" application for smart device management, control, and easier management.
Set Zigbee Connection and Register Master Smartphone
- Install Application: Download "Hafele Smart Living" from the Android or iOS app store. Scan the QR code provided.
- Sign Up/Login: Create an account using your email address or log in if you already have one.
- Prepare Zigbee Gateway: Follow the gateway's manual for setup instructions.
- Register Digital Door Lock: Ensure the Zigbee module is plugged into the internal module. If not, restore to factory default settings first. Change the master PIN code if necessary (see page 7).
- Reboot System: With the door open, remove one battery for 10 seconds, then re-insert it.
- Initiate Pairing: Press the

button shortly. The lock will beep. Enter the master PIN code, press*
. Numbers 0, 3, and 5 will light up on the keypad. Press5
. Number 8 will light up (for about 1 minute). - Add Subdevice in App: Open the "Hafele Smart Living" app, select your ZigBee gateway, and tap "+ Add subdevice".
- Search Lock: In the app, press "LED already blink" to search for the lock.
- Confirmation: If the lock is found, it will beep twice, and number 8 on the keypad will flicker.
- Register Lock: The lock will appear in the app. Press "Done".
- Name Lock: Name the digital door lock and press "Done". Your smartphone is now the administrator.
Note: If numbers 0, 3, and 5 do not light up, confirm the Zigbee module is plugged in and try rebooting the system by removing and re-inserting a battery.
Basic Operation
Add Access Right
You can add PIN codes, key cards, and fingerprints via the app.
- Open the app, go to "Home", and select your digital door lock.
- Press the "unlock ways" icon.
- Select the user and follow on-screen instructions to add access rights. For new users, press "+" and choose between "family lock" (PIN, card, fingerprint) or "temporary lock" (password expires after 5 minutes).
Note: Users must register the app first. Family lock supports PIN, card, and fingerprint. Temporary lock supports 3 password types: one-time, periodic, and dynamic.
Share Device
Grant access rights to others remotely via the app.
- Open the app, go to "Home", and select your digital door lock.
- Press the share icon

, then "Share Device". - Press "Add Home Member" and fill in their details (must be an app-registered email address).
- Select access rights (Administrator or Common Member).
- Press "Save".
- The new member must "accept" the invitation on their smartphone.
Volume Control
Adjust audible feedback volume (does not affect alarm).
- Open the app, go to "Home", and select your digital door lock.
- Press the "setting" icon, then "Key Tone".
- Scroll to select the desired sound level (mute, low, normal, high) and press "Confirm".
Battery Level ?
Check the battery percentage in the app.
- Open the app, go to "Home", and select your digital door lock.
- The battery icon with percentage is shown on the top left screen (e.g., 75%).
Mobile Open/Close the Door by Smartphone
Control the digital door lock remotely via the app.
- Open the app, go to "Home", and select your digital door lock.
- The screen shows lock/unlock icons.
- Long press the lock icon to toggle between lock and unlock.
- Wait for the digital door lock to operate and the status to update on the screen.
Lock Records ?
View unlocking and warning records.
- Open the app, go to "Home", and select your digital door lock.
- Press the "records" icon to see unlocking records (time and user).
- Press the "bell" icon to see warning records (time and type).
