IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE READING
For all watch categories, it is forbidden to:
- Press buttons underwater
- Move hands underwater
- Unscrew the crown underwater
If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it completely. Do not wear a leather-strap watch while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of leather straps with water.
Watches are classified by rating (from I to V) according to their degree of water resistance. Refer to the table below to determine the correct usage for your watch.
Water Resistance Ratings
Rating | Case Marking | Splashes, Rain, Washing | Swimming, Snorkeling | Scuba Diving |
I | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No |

V | 300M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes:
- Rating I watches are not water-resistant. Avoid all moisture.
- WR (Water Resistant) complies with ISO 2281. Short-term contact with water will not cause any problems.
- Watches with 5 Bar (50 meters) water resistance can withstand water pressure equivalent to this depth and are suitable for showering and brief swimming.
- Water resistance of 10 Bar (100 meters) means the watch can be used for normal swimming and snorkeling.
- Water resistance of 20 Bar (200 meters) means the watch can be used for scuba diving (excluding dives requiring helium-oxygen mixtures).
- Slight condensation may form on the inside of the glass due to sharp temperature changes. This is a normal physical phenomenon and not a defect.
- CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur from the use of these watches and does not accept any claims from third parties.
User's Guide to Watch Functions
Your watch may differ slightly from the illustrations in this manual.
Screw-Lock Crown
Note: Some water-resistant models are equipped with a screw-lock crown. To pull out such a crown, you must unlock it by turning it in the direction indicated in the figure [clockwise arrow symbol]. Do not use excessive force when pulling out the crown, as this may cause damage. The watch is not water-resistant when the crown is pulled out. After completing all operations with the crown, return it to its original position and lock it [counter-clockwise arrow symbol].

WATCHES WITH BACKLIGHT
Press and hold button 'L' [button icon] to illuminate the watch face. The backlight duration is typically 2 to 3 seconds or 1 second, depending on the model.
The watch illumination is provided by electroluminescent (EL) elements, which lose their luminosity after a long period of use. Frequent use of the illumination shortens battery life. Illuminating the backlight for extended periods or when the battery is low may cause the watch hands to stop moving for a while.
WATCHES WITH ROTATING BEZEL
Rotate the bezel to align the 'V' mark with the minute hand. After some time, you can tell how much time has passed since you aligned the mark with the minute hand. This bezel is used for measuring elapsed time.
