Water Resistance

For all categories of watches, the following are prohibited:

  • Pressing buttons underwater;
  • Moving the hands underwater;
  • Unscrewing the crown underwater.

If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it. Do not wear watches with leather straps while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of leather straps with water.

Watches are classified by levels (from Level I to Level V) according to their water resistance. Check your watch's level using the table below to determine correct usage.

Notes

  • Level I: Watches are not water-resistant. Avoid any moisture ingress.
  • Level II: WR (Water Resistant) means the model is waterproof according to ISO 2281. Brief contact with water will not cause any problems.
  • Level III: With 5 Bar (50 meters) water resistance, the watch can withstand water pressure of the indicated value and can therefore be used while showering and for brief swimming.
  • Level IV: 10 Bar (100 meters) water resistance means the watch can be used for normal swimming and snorkeling.
  • Level V: 20 Bar (200 meters) water resistance means the watch can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).

When using the product in conditions of rapid temperature changes, slight condensation may form on the inside of the glass. This phenomenon is due to the laws of physics and is not a defect.

CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may arise from the use of this watch, and does not accept any claims from third parties.

General Notes

Your watch may differ slightly from the illustrations in this manual.

Note on Screw-Lock Crowns

  • Some water-resistant watch models are equipped with a screw-lock crown.
  • To pull out such a crown, you must unlock it by turning it in the direction shown in the illustration [unlock direction arrow]. Do not use excessive force when pulling out the crown. This may cause damage.
  • Note that the watch becomes unprotected from water and moisture when the crown is pulled out. After completing all operations using the crown, return it to its original position and lock it.
