Product Description and Applications
The STIHL TrimCut™ 41-2 is a manual feed, dual line cutting head designed for use with STIHL trimmers and brushcutters, specifically models FS 350 and FS 450.
Applications:
- For lawn trimming.
- For mowing large areas of heavy grass and weeds.

- Split spool with notch: This feature reduces line welding and allows the operator to quickly reload the trimmer line.

To reduce risk of facial injury, STIHL recommends that you also wear a face shield or face screen over your goggles or safety glasses. To reduce risk of hearing loss, always wear hearing protection.
⚠️ Warning! To reduce the risk of injury from broken parts, check the condition of the trimmer at regular short intervals. Do not continue with broken or damaged tools.

Installation and Line Loading Instructions

Line Loading Procedure:
The diagrams illustrate the process of loading trimmer line into the dual spool and assembling the cutting head.
- Diagrams 1-3: Show the components of the cutting head and deflector kit, and how they are assembled onto the trimmer.
- Diagrams 4-5: Demonstrate the initial steps of loading the trimmer line into the spool.
- Diagrams 9-11: Provide detailed steps for winding the trimmer line onto the dual spool and feeding it through the cutting head.
- Diagram 12: Shows the cutting head with the trimmer line loaded and ready for use.
- Diagram 13: Indicates the recommended trimmer line lengths based on line diameter.
Securing the Cutting Head:
To prevent the cutting head from turning while removing or installing it, insert a metal pin into the hole near the top of the gearbox. Gently turn the head until it locks into place.
