The STIHL Autocut 5-2 is a semi-automatic, dual-line cutting head designed for trimmers. It is ideal for lawn trimming and mowing large areas of grass and light weeds.

Safety Precautions
Warning! Improper use can cause serious or fatal injury!
- Always follow all safety precautions in the Instruction Manual.
- Objects may be thrown or ricochet in all directions. To reduce the risk of injury to the operator, never operate a trimmer without a properly mounted deflector. Keep bystanders at least 50 ft (15 m) away.
- To reduce the risk of eye injury, always wear goggles or safety glasses that meet ANSI Z87.1. STIHL recommends wearing a face shield or face screen over goggles for facial protection.
- To reduce the risk of hearing loss, always wear hearing protection.
- To reduce the risk of injury from broken parts, check the condition of the trimmer at regular short intervals. Do not continue using broken or damaged tools.
Installation Instructions
To keep the cutting head from turning while removing and installing, insert a metal pin into the hole near the top of the gearbox. Gently turn the head until it locks into place.
Line Specifications:
- Line Diameter: 2 mm (0.08") or 2.4 mm (0.095")
- Line Length: 2.5 m (8'2") for 2 mm line, 3 m (10') for 2.4 mm line
