Controls & Functions
The following describes the controls and connection points found on the Pyle PMAX series mixers. Specific layouts may vary slightly between models (PMAX4, PMAX6, PMAX8).
General Controls and Functions (Numbered 1-10):
- 1. [LEVEL] Controller: Controls the input level for each channel, used to balance volume.
- 2. [STEREO/MONO] Converting switch (for 6.35 input signals): Press down for MONO, bounce up for STEREO.
- 3. [OUTPUT] Controller: Adjusts the main output volume. Note: Excessive high volume output may damage connected equipment. Turn the output controller to zero or an appropriate volume position before turning ON the device.
- 4. [1-8 CHANNEL OUTPUT MIX L-R] Button: (Specific to PMAX8) Press to mix the audio output of inputs 1-8, synchronizing A/B outputs. Note: Turn the A/B output knob to minimum volume before pressing this button.
- 5. [BT/USB] Converting switch: When bounced up, the input signal is from Bluetooth ?. Press it down, the input signal is from USB ?.
- 6. Power and Bluetooth indicator: Lights up when the mixer's power is ON. Flashes when connecting Bluetooth. Slows flashing speed when Bluetooth is connected.
- 7. 6.35 Input jack: Connects signal sources with line level to this mono or two-channel input. If the signal source volume is too high, the input may distort.
- 8. 6.35 Output jack: For transmitting output signal.
- 9. Type-C terminal: For data transferring, recording, and power supply. When connected to a computer, it supplies power and sends audio data (supports stereo play and record with 24 Bit, 48kHz sampling rate). When used as a power source (power socket or power bank), output voltage must be 4.8V-5.2V and output current 1A or more.
- 10. [GND] Connection: When connecting multiple devices, connect the ground wire of each device shell to each other to reduce interference noise and increase safety.

PMAX4 (4-Channel Mixer): Features controls 1-3, 5-10. Diagram shows numbered inputs/outputs and controls.
PMAX6 (6-Channel Mixer): Features controls 1-3, 5-10. Diagram shows numbered inputs/outputs and controls.
PMAX8 (8-Channel Mixer): Features all controls 1-10. Includes specific button #4 for channel mixing and distinct OUTPUT A (5-8 CH) and OUTPUT B (1-4 CH) jacks.
