Installation
Mains Connection
Connect the power supply to the 3-pin mains connector on the rear using the supplied AC adapter. Use only the provided power supply unit. Never connect the mixer to the power supply unit while the latter is connected to the mains. Both the power supply unit and the mixer may heat up during operation, which is normal.
Audio Connections
Use high-grade cables for connections. Commercial RCA cables are recommended for 2-track inputs/outputs. Unbalanced devices can be connected to balanced inputs/outputs using mono plugs or stereo plugs with bridged ring and sleeve (pins 1 and 3 for XLR).
Caution: Do not use unbalanced XLR connectors (pins 1 and 3 connected) on MIC inputs when using phantom power.
Connector Types:
- Balanced XLR: Input (1=ground/shield, 2=hot, 3=cold), Output (pins 1 and 3 bridged for unbalanced use).
- 1/4" TS Connector (Unbalanced): Tip (signal), Sleeve (ground/shield).
- 1/4" TRS Headphones Connector: Sleeve (ground/shield), Ring (left signal), Tip (right signal).
- 1/4" Mono Plug: Tip (signal), Sleeve (ground/shield).
- 1/4" TRS Connector (Balanced): Sleeve (ground/shield), Ring (cold), Tip (hot).
- 1/4" Stereo Plug: For balanced and unbalanced plugs, ring and sleeve must be bridged.
