Assembly Instructions
Step 1: Front Glass Wall - Baseframe Installation
Install the baseframe components (1.06" thickness) including parts 1, 2, 3a, 3b, 4a, and 4b in their specified quantities. Apply waterproof silicone to the groove. Use a piece of wood to protect plywood during this process.
Step 2: Front Glass Wall - Coverframe Installation
Install the coverframe components (0.62" thickness), identified as DET 1, DET 2, DET 3, and DET 4, using the indicated quantities. Mount the glass panels carefully. Apply waterproof silicone as shown.
Step 3: Front Glass Wall - Securing the Assembly
Fasten the front glass wall assembly using screws (40x J). Ensure screws are inserted to a minimum depth of 0.78" and take care not to hit the glass. Use part DET U diagonally to enhance wall rigidity during installation.
Step 4: Wooden Back Wall Assembly
Assemble the wooden back wall using part U (TL1). Pre-drill holes (0.15") before inserting screws. Use screws H (4x H, 4x I, 2x H) and DET U. Note that brackets are located inside the structure.
Step 5: Sauna Body Alignment
Attach components DET 1 and 2x DET A to the sauna body. Utilize a water level to ensure the structure is properly aligned and level. Verify that diagonal measurements between the front and back are equal.
Step 6: Cradle Installation
Install the cradles (DET 2) onto the sauna body using screws (2x M). Ensure stave 2 is centered on cradle 1. Position the cradles within the grooves of stave 2.
Step 7: Securing Staves
Fasten the staves securely to the structure using screws (16x M).
Step 8: Wall Support and Drilling
Drill four holes with a 0.50" diameter through DET 2 on the outside. Use DET 3 to temporarily support the walls (3x DET 3). Employ a water level for accurate bench installation. Crucially, maintain a 0.25" gap when tightening the outer bands (B) to allow for adjustments later.
Step 9: Wall Bracing and Band Adjustment
Remove any temporary bracing that was installed. Use a strap to provide support for the boards during the installation process. Reiterate the importance of leaving a 0.25" gap when tightening outer bands (B) for future adjustments.
Step 10: Joining Boards and Trimming
Join two boards together (parts 3 and A) to bridge the 'A' gap. It is recommended that the combined width of these boards is approximately 0.25" wider than the gap. If necessary, trim the flat edge of the board to achieve the required width. Fasten the joined boards using appropriate screws. Slightly raise the combined board before installing it.
Step 11: Band Installation
Install the bands (DET B) using DET B1 and screws (2x DET B). Position the bands around the exterior of the barrel, on the outer side of the cradle. The approximate placement point is 9.43" from a reference. Remove the strap once the bands are in place.
Step 12: Vent Installation and Floor/Ceiling Attachment
Remove all temporary braces. Install the upper and lower vents using DET G and DET F, securing them with screws K (6x K, 3x DET F). Attach the floor and ceiling components (DET 10a, DET 10) using screws J (12x J). Note that the front wall side includes an endboard, while the back wall side does not.
Step 13: Bench Support and Installation
Pre-drill holes with a 0.12" diameter. Fasten the opposite sides of the structure in a similar manner. When inserting screws, fix them at a slight angle and be careful not to strike the glass. Use a water level to ensure accurate bench installation. Install bench supports (DET 11) beneath the benches using screws H (8x H, 4x DET 10c, 6x H).
Step 14: Bench Finalization
Continue the bench installation process using components DET 10c, DET 12, and DET 12a. Secure these parts with screws H and M as indicated in the diagrams.
Step 15: Heater Platform and Bench Completion
Install the floor board (1x DET 14) using screws H (4x H). Attach the heater platform supports (2x DET 15a, 2x DET 15b) using screws H (2x H) and J (2x J). If your sauna heater is smaller, DET 15a can be cut to size to fit. Install the final bench components (2x DET 15c, 1x DET 15d) using screws I (6x I) and J (4x J). It is important to place the sauna heater first before completing this step.
Step 16: Door Installation
Use a water level for accuracy. Install the door frame components (1x DET 20, 2x DET 20c, 2x DET 20d) using screws M (2x M). Ensure the door frame is pressed tightly against the wall and fasten it from the inside. Install the door hinges or supports (2x DET 20a, 2x DET 20b) using screws J (16x J). Finally, install the remaining door components (2x DET 22) using screws H (18x H). Note the front wall thickness: Wooden front wall is 1.12", Glass front wall is 1.62".
Step 17: Shingle Installation
Refer to the shingles installation manual for detailed instructions. Ensure shingles overlap on the top. Cut DET N into three equal segments. Apply DET N and DET O to the roof, following the pattern shown, with an approximate angle of 39 degrees.
Step 18: Final Securing
Secure the roof shingles in place using DET 25 (9x DET 25) and screws H (18x H). Remove DET A after this step is completed.
