Step 1: Wooden Front Wall Assembly
Assemble the front wall using panels S, T, and U. Attach panel U diagonally to provide rigidity. Use screws (J) for assembly. The front wall features a glass door opening.
Step 2: Wooden Back Wall Assembly
Assemble the back wall using panels U. Similar to the front wall, attach panel U diagonally for rigidity. Pre-drill holes (5/32") before inserting screws (I). Brackets are installed on the inside of the back wall.
Step 3: Base Assembly and Leveling
Assemble the base structure by attaching the base cradles (A) to the bottom frame. Use screws (M) for attachment. Ensure the structure is level and that diagonal measurements are equal (e.g., 51 3/16", 63", 78 3/4") for stability.
Step 4: Stave and Cradle Attachment
Position stave 2 centrally on cradle 1. Insert the cradles (W, X, Y, Z) into the grooves of stave 2. Secure these components using screws (M).
Step 5: Stave Assembly
Continue attaching the staves to the base structure. Use screws (M) to fasten each stave securely in place.
Step 6: Drilling and Temporary Wall Support
Drill four 1/2" diameter holes through DET 2 (a guide or jig) on the outside. Temporarily fix support brackets (DET 3) to the walls using screws (H). Use a water level to ensure accurate positioning. IMPORTANT: Leave a 1/4" gap when tightening screws to allow for adjustment when the outer bands (B) are installed.
Step 7: Temporary Bracing Removal and Strap Support
Remove any temporary bracing. Use a strap to support the wall boards during installation. Continue attaching staves with screws (H), maintaining the 1/4" gap for outer band adjustment.
Step 8: Board Joining for Gaps
Join two boards together (e.g., 6, 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d) to bridge any gaps (A) in the wall structure. It is recommended that these combined boards are approximately 1/4" wider than the gap. If necessary, trim the flat edge of the board to achieve the desired width. Fasten the joined halves using screws.
Step 9: Outer Band Installation
Place the outer bands (DET B, DET B1) around the barrel on the outer side of the cradle. Secure the bands using fasteners (DET B1) and a hammer. Remove any temporary straps. Adjust the bands using bolts (C), washers (D), and nuts (E).
Step 10: Vent and Bench Support Installation
Install the upper and lower vents (DET G, DET F) using screws (K). Pre-drill holes (5/32") before inserting screws. Attach bench supports (DET 10, DET 10a) using screws (H). Note: 72" and 88" saunas with front-glass walls require four pieces of DET 10a. For saunas with a front-glass wall, consult the specific front-glass wall installation manual for proper bench installation.
Step 11: Bench Installation
Install the benches using screws (I). Use a level to ensure accurate bench installation. Note: 72" and 88" saunas with front-glass walls use four pieces of 10c. Attach bench components under the benches using screws (H) and (M).
Step 12: Heater Support and Safety Rail
Attach heater support components (DET 15a, DET 15b, DET 15c, DET 15d) using screws (H) and (J). If necessary, trim part 15A on the end that meets the back wall to accommodate the heater size before adding part H. Mount the sauna heater before installing the safety rail, adhering to the manufacturer's recommended safety clearance.
Step 13: Door Installation
Use a water level. Fasten the door frame components (DET 20, 20a, 20b, 20c, 20d) to the wall. Ensure the door frame is pressed tightly against the wall and fasten from the inside using screws (M) and (J). Attach the door hinges (DET 22) using screws (H).
Step 14: Roof Shingle Installation
Refer to the installation manual provided with the shingles package. Overlap shingles on the top. Cut DET N into three equal segments. Attach DET N and DET O using fasteners (L). Cut off excess DET O and use the other end.
Step 15: Final Assembly and Shingle Attachment
Attach the roof shingles (25) to the sauna structure using screws (H). Remove DET A.
