5. Add Camera
Before Using:
- If using an SD card, insert the Micro SD card (2-128GB) before powering on. If inserted after power-on, detection may fail and the product may need to be restarted.
- Before adding the camera, enable Bluetooth and positioning permissions in the app, then turn on your phone's Bluetooth to start connecting. (Note: Failure to open app permissions will cause connection failure).
- The camera has a built-in eSIM card. Turn on the camera to start. When the indicator light changes from red to blue, the camera is successfully connected to the Internet and can be added. If it changes from red to red and blue, there is no network connection; contact customer service for troubleshooting.
- After resetting the camera, it needs to reconnect to the Internet. Wait about 1 minute for the indicator light to turn blue and flash, and for a voice prompt, before scanning the QR code to add the camera. Otherwise, addition may fail.
- It is recommended to install the camera in an open location. Signal interference near the camera will affect its normal use.
You can scan the QR code below or visit the link to watch the added video:
- Click the "+" sign in the upper right corner of the homepage and select "Scan".
- Wait for the camera to connect to the Internet, scan the QR code on the camera body, and wait for automatic connection to complete the addition.
- If the addition fails, reset the camera and add it again. After resetting, the camera needs to reconnect to the Internet. Wait about 1 minute for the camera indicator light to turn blue and flash, and for a voice prompt, before scanning the QR code to add the camera.

- If the micro SD card is not readable, contact COCOCAM for assistance.
Troubleshooting
No. | Description | Solutions and Operation |
---|---|---|
1 | What should I do if the camera cannot be added? | 1) Confirm SIM card traffic is sufficient. 2) After the camera resets, listen for the "bugu" sound. Wait one minute for the camera to turn blue light, flash, and play a voice prompt before adding. 3) Take the camera to an open place before adding; signal interference in narrow environments may cause issues. 4) Contact 24-hour customer service for assistance. |
2 | How do you reset to default? | 1) Press and hold the reset button for five seconds. 2) Listen for the "bugu" sound. 3) Watch for the red light flashing slowly. |
3 | Camera access always appears offline? | Install the camera in an open space with no signal interference. Interference or a distant 4G signal base station can affect online operation. |
4 | Why am I receiving frequent alarms? | The environment or number of vehicles may be triggering alarms frequently. Change the camera alarm sensitivity to "low". |
5 | Why does full-time recording stop? | Check the minimum battery level setting under "Battery Management". If the actual battery level is lower than the set value, the camera enters power-saving mode and stops continuous recording. |
6 | No alarm push | Enable notifications from the Cococam app in mobile settings. |
7 | No alarm video recording | Insert the micro SD card or enable cloud storage. |
8 | Cococam app flashbacks | 1) Phone system version may be too low or too high, causing compatibility issues. Uninstall and re-download the app. 2) Contact customer service with your camera model number and mobile phone system number. |
9 | Unable to register account | 1) Ensure you select the correct country during registration. 2) No verification code is needed; follow the registration process. |
10 | Unable to add friend | Your account and your friend's account must be registered in the same country or area. (e.g., Europe and America accounts cannot be friends). |
11 | Why are the videos jerky? | If human detection occurs, video is smooth due to maximum frame rate. If no movement is detected, the camera records at a low frame rate to save power. To enable the maximum frame rate in continuous recording, set it under "Operating Mode". |
