Ensure the dust cup is securely reattached after emptying.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures your vacuum cleaner performs at its best.
Filter Cleaning
Wash filters every 3 months to keep suction strong. Rinse filters with water only and allow them to air-dry completely. Tap loose dirt from foam filters as needed between washes.
Accessing Filters: Remove the dust cup. Press down on the top of the filter door to open it. Tilt the filter door and lift it out. Press the tab at the top of the HEPA filter and pull it away from the base of the vacuum.
Reinstalling Filters: Insert the HEPA filter into the unit and replace the filter door.
Brushroll Access and Cleaning
Shark's Zero-M™ self-cleaning brushroll delivers non-stop hair removal.
To access the brushroll: Use a coin to turn the locks on the brushroll cover. Lift the cover open.
Clear Intake: Clear any blockages or objects stuck on or around the brushroll and in the debris intake.
If hair is wrapped around the brushroll, extending cleaning time may help it clear automatically.
2 Ways to Clean: Floor Cleaning
Suction Control
Adjust your suction depending on your floor type:
- MIN: Reduce suction and increase maneuverability on carpets.
- MAX: Increase suction on bare floors.
Cleaning Modes
- Hard Floor: Press the switch to 'I' for hard floor surfaces.
- Carpet: Press the switch to 'II' for low and high pile carpet cleaning.
To engage the brushroll, step on the floor nozzle and tilt the handle back.
Above-Floor Cleaning
Clean above-floor areas, such as upholstery, stairs, and ceilings.
Step 1: To clean above-floor areas, remove the handle from the wand. For even more reach, remove the wand from the pod (the main vacuum unit).
Step 2: Attach the desired cleaning accessory (e.g., crevice tool, upholstery tool) to the handle or wand.
