Spa Water
- Change spa water every 3-5 days, or if it becomes cloudy and water chemistry cannot clear it. See "Cleaning, Draining and Storage".
- Shower before use to remove cosmetic products and lotions that degrade water quality.
- Cover the spa when not in use to prevent pollution.
- Use spa chemicals to maintain proper water conditions. Misuse or mismanagement of spa water is not covered by warranty. Consult a local spa retailer for chemical information.
Water Sanitation
Regularly check and sanitize spa water. Sanitizers control bacteria and viruses. Maintaining correct water balance is crucial for spa life, appearance, and water safety. Contact a spa professional for guidance on chemicals, sanitizers, and test procedures.
Water Balance
Maintain spa water balance by following these guidelines:
Parameter | Test Frequency | Correct Level |
---|---|---|
pH | Daily | 7.2-7.6 (Chlorine); 7.2-7.8 (Bromine) |
Free Chlorine | Daily | 3-5 ppm |
Bromine residual | Daily | 2-4 ppm |
Total Alkalinity (TA) | Weekly | 80-120 ppm |
Total Hardness (TH) | Weekly | 200-500 ppm |
NOTE: Low pH can damage the spa tub and pump. High pH (hard water) can cause white coagulations in the filter pump, potentially leading to pump damage. Chemical imbalance damage voids the warranty.
Water Treatment
- Keep air jets open and valves closed to allow chemically treated water to flush through pipework.
- Always follow chemical manufacturer directions and warnings.
- Bromine is recommended for TEKAPO / BERGEN models.
- Never mix chemicals. Add them separately and dissolve each thoroughly before adding to the water.
- Do not mix chlorine and bromine products. If switching between them, change the spa water first.
- Do not add chemicals when the spa is occupied; this can cause skin or eye irritation.
- Do not overuse chemicals or use concentrated chlorine, as this can damage the spa tub and cause skin irritation. Improper chemical use voids the warranty.
Drainage, Cleaning and Storage
Spa Drainage
- Turn off all functions.
- Press the BUBBLE button to dry the spa pool.
- Lift the spa when only a little water remains.
Spa Tub Cleaning
After draining, use a sponge and mild soap solution to clean the spa wall. Rinse thoroughly before refilling. Do not use steel wool, hard brushes, or abrasive cleaners.
Deflation Instructions
- Unscrew the entire valve on the spa pool to deflate.
- Replace the valve once deflated.

- Original packaging is recommended for storage.
Precautions for Seasonal Use
Inflatable hot tubs are made of PVC and are sensitive to weather and temperature.
In Summer / Sunny Days
- Direct sunshine and hot weather can cause the spa liner to expand. Place the spa in a sheltered location to extend its service life.
- Regularly check air pressure; the manometer should be in the Green section when the spa is filled. When leaving the spa unattended outdoors for extended periods, release air until the manometer points to Yellow to prevent excessive expansion due to temperature increases.
- For skin protection, enjoy the spa in the morning or evening when sunlight is milder.
- Check water temperature and consider lowering it when the spa is not in use. Turn off the heater if not using the spa for an extended period.
In Winter
Inflation
Low temperatures harden PVC, making it fragile. If the spa was stored below 4°C (39°F), warm it indoors for 12 hours before unfolding. Lower temperatures require more air and longer inflation times. To shorten inflation and reduce liner expansion, inflate above 15°C (59°F). Do not inflate if the ambient temperature is below 0°C (39°F).
Heating and Heat Preservation
Heating takes longer in cold weather. Fill with lukewarm water (not exceeding 40°C / 104°F). Use a ground mat and inflatable bladder for better heat preservation. If the outdoor temperature is below 4°C (39°F), keep the heater on (or in standby mode) even when not in use to prevent freezing. The Anti-icing System automatically heats water to 3°C (37.4°F) if it drops below 1°C (33.8°F). Disassemble and store if not using the spa soon.
In Rainy Days
MSpa has an IPX5 water-resistant rating, suitable for light rain. However, do not turn on the bubble function in the rain, as moisture can damage the bubble generator. Protect the plug from rain to prevent water accumulation damage.
Disposal and Environmental Protection
This product should not be disposed of with household waste. Recycle responsibly to prevent environmental harm. Contact local authorities for disposal information. Use return and collection systems or contact the retailer for environmentally safe recycling.
