Water Balancing
Follow these instructions for maintaining water quality:
Parameter | Frequency of Measurement | Recommended Level |
---|---|---|
pH | 1 x daily | 7.2-7.6 (chlorine); 7.2-7.8 (bromine) |
Free Chlorine | 1 x daily | 3-5 ppm |
Bromine | 1 x daily | 2-4 ppm |
Total Alkalinity (TA) | 1 x weekly | 80-120 ppm |
Total Hardness (TH) | 1 x weekly | 200-500 ppm |
Note: Low pH can damage the body and electrical components. Chemical imbalances are not covered by warranty. High pH and hardness can cause scale buildup and damage to the technology, which is not covered by warranty.
Maintenance and Cleaning
WARNING: Ensure the hot tub is disconnected from the power supply before performing any maintenance to avoid the risk of injury or death.
Filter Cartridge Maintenance
- Check and clean the filter cartridge after each use. Replace every 3-5 days of use or when it becomes discolored or dirty.
- The filter cartridge must always be installed when the hot tub is filled with water.
- Turn off all hot tub functions before replacing or cleaning the filter cartridge.
- The inlet and outlet are integrated. If the cartridge is dirty and clogged, remove and clean it. If the cartridge stem is clogged, unscrew it counter-clockwise and clean it.
- Note: Ensure the water is drained before unscrewing this part. Never disassemble it when the hot tub is filled with water.
Water Care
- Change the water every 3-5 days, depending on usage. If the water is visibly dirty or cloudy and chemical treatments do not clear it, change the water and clean the tub.
- Shower before using the hot tub to remove cosmetic products and residues that can degrade water quality and clog the filter.
- Cover the hot tub when not in use to prevent contamination.
- Use only MSpa-approved chemical products for water maintenance. Improper use of chemicals or inadequate water maintenance can damage the hot tub and is not covered by warranty. Consult your local pool or spa dealer for proper chemical use.
- Always add chemicals to water, never water to chemicals.
- Do not mix different chemical products. Add each product separately and allow it to dissolve completely in water before adding the next.
- Never mix chlorine and bromine products. If switching between chlorine and bromine, completely drain and refill the hot tub.
- Never add chemicals to the hot tub while someone is inside.
- Do not use excessive amounts of chemicals or concentrated chlorine, as this can damage the hot tub and skin.
Floating Dispenser
Your hot tub comes with a floating dispenser for water treatment tablets. This dispenser is suitable only for 1" tablets. Do not pour liquids or granules into the dispenser.
Note: Remove the chemical dispenser when the hot tub is in operation.
Draining, Cleaning, and Storage
Draining the Water
- Turn off all functions on the control panel.
- Press the BUBBLE button for 15 minutes to remove residual water from the pipes.
- Once the water stops draining automatically, gradually lift the tub from the bottom (never by the straps).
Cleaning
After draining the water, clean the inside of the tub with a sponge and a mild soapy water solution. Rinse thoroughly with clean water before refilling.
IMPORTANT: Do not use steel wool, hard brushes, or abrasive cleaning agents.
Deflating and Re-inflating
Instructions for Deflating
- Unscrew the drain valve completely.
- Once the tub is deflated, reinsert the valve.
Repairing the Tub Body and Inflatable Cover (for some models)
Use the included patches for puncture repair:
- Thoroughly clean and dry the area to be repaired.
- Apply glue to the patch and quickly apply it to the damaged area (glue not included).
- Smooth the surface to remove air bubbles and let it dry.
Note: Glue is not included.
Storing the Hot Tub and Preparing for Future Use
- Drain and clean the hot tub according to the instructions in the chapters "Draining the Water", "Cleaning", and "Instructions for Deflating".
- Before storing, ensure all hot tub components and accessories are completely clean and dry. Allow the hot tub to air dry for at least 1 hour by turning it upside down, but never in direct sunlight.
- Fold the hot tub loosely. Avoid sharp creases that could damage the tub.
- Prepare a new filter cartridge for future use.
- Store the hot tub and accessories in a dry, temperature-controlled environment (5°C - 30°C / 41°F - 86°F).
- It is recommended to use the original packaging for storage.
Seasonal Use Precautions
Inflatable hot tubs are made of reinforced PVC material, which is susceptible to weather and temperature changes. Pay close attention when using the hot tub in different seasons.
Summer / Sunny Days
- Direct sunlight and high temperatures can cause the hot tub shell to expand. It is recommended to place the hot tub in a shaded area to prolong its lifespan.
- Regularly check the air pressure. When the hot tub is filled with water, the pressure gauge should always indicate the green zone. If the hot tub is left unattended for a long period, release some air so the pressure gauge indicates the yellow zone. This prevents the shell from expanding excessively due to rising temperatures during the day.
- It is strongly recommended to use the hot tub in the morning and evening when sunlight is less intense and temperatures are more pleasant, to protect your skin from sunburn.
- Monitor the water temperature and consider lowering it when the hot tub is not in use. If you will not be using the hot tub for an extended period, turn off the heater completely.
Winter
- Inflation: Due to low temperatures, the PVC material becomes stiff and brittle. If the hot tub was stored or transported at low temperatures (below 4°C / 39.2°F), place the package in an indoor or warm area for 12 hours to soften the material before use.
- The lower the temperature, the more air the hot tub will require and the longer inflation will take. After heating the water to a much higher temperature, the air inside the chamber will expand. It is recommended to inflate the hot tub at temperatures above 15°C (59°F) to reduce inflation time and shell expansion. Do not inflate the hot tub if the ambient temperature is below 0°C (32°F).
- Heating and Heat Retention: Water heats up more slowly in cold weather. It is recommended to:
- Fill the hot tub with lukewarm water (not exceeding 40°C / 104°F) for faster heating.
- Use a mat and an inflatable cover to help retain heat.
- If the outdoor temperature drops below 4°C (39.2°F) and the hot tub is filled with water, turn off the heater (or switch the hot tub to standby mode) to prevent the water from freezing, even if the hot tub is not in use.
- Your hot tub is equipped with an Anti-icing system. Switch the hot tub to standby mode. If the water temperature drops below 1°C (33.8°F), the heater will automatically turn on until the water temperature reaches 3°C (37.4°F). This prevents the water from freezing. If you will not be using the hot tub for an extended period, disassemble and store it as instructed.
Rainy Days
The MSpa hot tub has an IPX5 rating, meaning it is protected against low-pressure water jets. Therefore, it can be placed outdoors in light rain. However, if you intend to use the hot tub without rain protection, do not activate the bubble function. Rainwater drawn into the pump can cause the bubble generator to rust, leading to malfunction and voiding the warranty.
Although the plug is IPX5 rated, it is recommended to place it where it will not be exposed to rain to prevent damage from accumulated water during heavy rainfall.
Disposal and Environmental Protection
This product must not be disposed of with household waste. Recycle responsibly to prevent damage to the environment and human health. Contact your local collection points or authorized dealer for disposal information.
