9. Matters Needing Attention
- PIR Sensitivity & Installation:
- Avoid placing the device in areas with churning air (e.g., air conditioning outlets, fan surroundings, near curtains).
- Do not install the device directly in front of glass or mirrors.
- Recommended installation height is approximately 2.5m-3m.
- Do not invert the device.
- Battery Service Time: Affected by wake-up time and frequency. Lower PIR sensitivity in crowded environments to reduce wake-ups and extend application time. Charge the battery promptly when low to prevent failure.
- Wi-Fi Signal: Ensure a stable Wi-Fi network signal at the installation location, especially outdoors. Add a Wi-Fi router if the signal is weak.
- Device Wake-up: The device supports APP remote wake-up, PIR human detection wake-up, and button wake-up. It automatically enters sleep state after a short period of activity.
- Initial Charge: Charge for 10 hours with the original DC 5V2A charger and USB cable. Do not use a mobile power supply, as it may cause a short circuit.
- Wi-Fi Support: The device supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi but not 5GHz Wi-Fi.
10. Troubleshooting
- Network Allocation Failed:
- Check if the camera is in the configuration state.
- Ensure the phone, camera, and router are close enough.
- Confirm the camera does not support 5GHz routers.
- Verify the router name and password are correct.
- Device is Offline:
- Check the router's internet connection.
- Verify the connection between the router and the camera. If the router or Wi-Fi password changes, reset the camera and reconfigure the network.
- Check if the camera battery is exhausted; try plugging in the USB power source.
- Unable to Preview: The server may be congested. Try restarting the APP.
- No News Push:
- Ensure the APP has notification permissions enabled.
- Verify the alert message button is turned on in the APP personal center settings.
- Confirm the PIR switch in the camera settings is turned on.
- No Video Files:
- Insert the SD card before powering on the device.
- Ensure the camera's PIR switch is turned on.
- Ensure the camera's recording switch is turned on.
- Check the SD card status in the APP device settings. If abnormal, try formatting the SD card.
11. Common Problems
- Q: Why does the battery drain so fast?
-
Frequent triggering of the human detection function in a crowded environment can cause the device to work for extended periods, consuming power easily. Try lowering the PIR sensitivity setting.
Long periods of viewing video playback files also consume power.
Check if the device signal is stable. If the network is not normal, the device may wake up multiple times and consume power easily. Try changing the device's position or your Wi-Fi network.
- Q: How can I confirm that the camera is connected properly?
-
Try to actively trigger the PIR sensor. After about 3 seconds, if the blue light is on, it indicates the device is connected properly.
