4. Reminders about the PIR Humanoid Detection Feature
The humanoid detection sensitivity can be set in the device settings. When used in a crowded environment, it is recommended to turn off or set the device to low sensitivity to avoid unnecessary wake-ups, thereby prolonging battery service time.
- Off: The device will not perform humanoid induction detection.
- Low: When the device is in hibernation state, it can sense movement detection within 5 meters and trigger a report.
- Middle: When the device is in hibernation state, it can sense movement detection within 7 meters and trigger a report.
- High: When the device is in hibernation state, it can sense movement detection within 10 meters and trigger a report.
7. Matters Needing Attention
PIR sensor is sensitive to cold and hot disturbances. Points to note during installation:
- Avoid placing the device in areas with air currents (e.g., air conditioning outlets, equipment cooling outlets, near fans, or curtains).
- Do not install the device directly in front of glass or mirrors.
- The recommended installation height is approximately 2.5m - 3m.
- Do not invert the device.
The device supports battery power, and its service time is affected by wake-up time and frequency. Therefore, it is suggested to turn off the human detection function or set it to low sensitivity in crowded environments to reduce wake-up times and extend application time. When the device is low on power, please charge it promptly. Prolonged underpowering may cause battery failure.
During installation, ensure a stable 4G network signal at the location, especially in remote mountainous areas. Verify the 4G network signal strength of the operator.
This device is a low-power intelligent product that supports APP remote wake-up, PIR human detection wake-up, and button wake-up. It automatically enters sleep state after a short working period after each wake-up.
To ensure normal operation, first charge the device for 10 hours using the original DC 5V/2A charger and USB cable. Do not use a mobile power supply for charging, as it may cause a short circuit.
8. Problem Resolution
- Add failed:
- Check if the device's blue light is flashing ?.
- Ensure the network is normal.
- Offline equipment:
- Check if the SIM card is connected properly.
- Check if the device battery is depleted. Try connecting via USB cable for power supply and attempt again.
- Unable to preview:
- The server may be congested. Please try restarting the APP.
- No message push:
- Ensure the APP has notification permissions.
- Ensure the alarm message push switch is enabled in the APP Personal Center Settings.
- No video files:
- Insert the SD card before starting up.
- Ensure the device's PIR switch is on.
- Ensure the device's recording switch is on.
- Check the SD card status in the APP. If abnormal, try formatting the SD card.
9. Common Problems
Q: Why does the battery drain so fast?
A: Frequent triggering of the human detection function in crowded environments can cause the device to work for extended periods, consuming power rapidly. Try lowering the PIR sensitivity setting. Viewing video playback files for long durations also consumes power. Check if the device signal is stable; unstable networks can cause the device to wake up multiple times, consuming power. Consider changing the device's position or SIM operator.
Q: How can I confirm that the camera is connected properly?
A: Try actively triggering the PIR sensor. Wait for 3 seconds; if the blue light turns on ?, it indicates the device is connected properly.
