Overview
This guide provides instructions for assembling and installing the IKEA MÖCKLERYD worktop. It covers cutting, edgebanding, installing components, and sealing for protection.
Tools and Parts
Ensure you have the following tools:

You will need contact adhesive and silicone sealant, which are sold separately and not included.

Cutting and Edgebanding
It is important to saw the worktop straight. If you are uncertain, contact your local specialized dealer.
If cutting the worktop, use contact adhesive to fix the edgeband to the cut end. Remember, contact adhesive is not included.

Installing Components
Follow the diagrams for installing components such as sinks or hobs. This involves precise measurements, typically 10 cm (3 7/8") from edges.

The installation involves drilling pilot holes (e.g., Ø 3 mm / 1/8") and using screws (e.g., 12x, 6x, 8x) to secure components and the worktop to cabinets.
Attaching Worktop to Cabinets
The worktop is attached to the assembled cabinets using screws. Ensure correct alignment and secure fixation.

Sealing and Protection
Note! Silicone sealant is not included.
Apply silicone sealant to prevent liquids from penetrating the worktop, especially around cut edges or installed components. This protects against condensation and moisture.
Fit a diffusion barrier on the underside of the worktop above white goods (appliances) for extra protection against condensation and moisture.
