Eco-Friendly Tips for Thomson Monitors
To reduce energy consumption and minimize environmental impact when using your Thomson monitor, follow these simple eco-friendly practices:
- Activate Power Saving Mode: Enable the monitor's Eco mode to reduce power consumption when the monitor is not in use. This setting helps lower brightness and save energy during idle periods.
- Adjust Brightness and Contrast: Lower the brightness and contrast settings to a comfortable level. This not only reduces energy consumption but also extends the monitor's lifespan.
- Turn Off When Not in Use: Always turn off the monitor when you are not using it, especially during extended idle periods. Alternatively, set a shorter sleep mode or an auto-off timer.
- Unplug When Idle: Unplug the monitor when it is not being used for extended periods, such as during holidays or extended absences. This prevents phantom power consumption.
- Proper Disposal: At the end of its useful life, recycle the monitor responsibly by taking it to a designated electronic waste collection point, in accordance with the WEEE directive. This ensures proper disposal and promotes the sustainable reuse of materials.
Other
Plug and Play Functionality:
This monitor can be installed on any Plug and Play compatible system. The interaction between the monitor and the computer system ensures optimal operating conditions and monitor settings. In most cases, monitor installation will be automatic, unless the user chooses another setting.
Acceptable Dead Pixels:
The display of this product is manufactured using an advanced semiconductor process with a precision greater than 1 ppm (parts per million). However, some pixels may appear too bright or too dark when displaying red, green, blue, or white colors. The product can be used safely, as the quality is satisfactory.
This equipment is Class B IT equipment. As the viewing angle of the screen changes, LED light may be visible on the edge of the product frame, but this phenomenon is not harmful to the human body and does not affect the product's features and performance.
To prevent hearing damage, limit listening time at high volumes.
WARNING
Never place a monitor in an unstable position. The monitor may fall, causing serious personal injury or death. Many injuries, especially to children, can be avoided by taking simple precautions such as:
- Using cabinets or stands recommended by the monitor manufacturer.
- Using only furniture capable of safely supporting the monitor.
- Ensuring the monitor does not overhang the edge of the furniture on which it is placed.
- Not placing the monitor on tall furniture (e.g., cabinets or bookshelves) without securing both the furniture and the monitor to an appropriate support.
- Not placing the television on fabrics or other materials that might be between the television and the supporting furniture.
- Educating children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the monitor or its controls.
If an existing monitor is being kept and repositioned, the same considerations as above must be applied.
Wall mounting screw: 22-24 inches M4, 28-70 inches M6, 75 inches M8
Note: do not hang the monitor in a tilted position to avoid the risk of falling.
Note: when using a wall mount bracket, the installation height must not exceed 2 m.
Note: do not cover ventilation openings.
Note: this equipment is not intended for use on soft supports (such as beds, blankets, etc.).
Troubleshooting
Black Screen / Cannot Turn On Product:
- Check that the power adapter is connected correctly.
- Check that the power adapter is correctly plugged into the AC 100-240 V outlet.
- Check that the signal detection cable information is displayed on the screen; check the cable connection between the connected system and this monitor.
- Different Inputs:
- Check that the DP input is selected as the source, if the DP cable was connected after the connected system was powered on. Disconnect and reconnect the DP cable while using the connected system. The screen may not display any image, as some graphics cards are unable to transmit a signal. In this case, restart the connected system after connecting the DP cable and/or update the graphics card drivers.
- If the HDMI cable was connected after the connected system was powered on, check that the HDMI input is selected as the source. Disconnect and reconnect the HDMI cable while using the connected system. The screen may not display any image because some graphics cards are unable to transmit a signal. In this case, restart the connected system after connecting the HDMI cable and/or update the graphics card drivers.
