12. Eco-Friendly Tips for the Thomson Monitor
To help reduce energy consumption and minimize your environmental footprint while using your Thomson monitor, follow these simple eco-friendly practices:
- Activate energy-saving mode: Activate the monitor's Eco mode to reduce energy consumption when not in use. This setting helps dim the brightness and save energy during idle periods.
- Adjust brightness and contrast: Reduce brightness and contrast settings to a comfortable level. This not only reduces energy consumption but also prolongs the monitor's lifespan.
- Turn it off when not in use: Always turn off the monitor when you have finished using it, especially during prolonged periods of inactivity. You can also set a shorter sleep mode or an automatic shutdown timer.
- Unplug when not in use: Unplug the monitor when it is not in use for extended periods, such as during holidays or prolonged absences. This prevents phantom energy consumption.
- Proper Disposal: At the end of its useful life, recycle the monitor responsibly by taking it to an electronic waste collection point, in accordance with the WEEE Directive. This ensures proper disposal and promotes the sustainable reuse of materials.

14. Troubleshooting
Black Screen / Product Not Turning On:
- Check that the power adapter is connected correctly.
- Check that the power adapter is connected correctly to a 100-240 V AC power outlet.
- Check if the signal detection cable information is displayed on the screen and check the cable connection between the connected system and this monitor.
- Different Inputs:
- a) Check if the DP input is selected as the source if you connect the DP cable after turning on the connected system. Disconnect and reconnect the DP cable while using the connected system. It is possible that the screen will not display any image because some graphics cards cannot output a signal. In this case, restart the connected system after connecting the DP cable and/or update the graphics card drivers.
- b) Check if the HDMI input is selected as the source if you connect the HDMI cable after turning on the connected system. Disconnect and reconnect the HDMI cable while using the connected system. It is possible that the screen will not display any image because some graphics cards cannot output a signal. In this case, restart the connected system after connecting the HDMI cable and/or update the graphics card drivers.
