General Notes

Your watch may differ slightly from the illustrations in this manual.

Note on Screw-Lock Crown

Some water-resistant models are equipped with a screw-lock crown. To pull out such a crown, you must first unlock it by turning it in the direction indicated in the diagram. Do not apply excessive force when pulling out the crown, as this may damage it. Note that the watch is no longer protected against water and moisture when the crown is pulled out. After completing any operations using the crown, return it to its original position and lock it.

Watches with Backlight

Press and hold the L button to illuminate the watch face.

Depending on the model, the backlight duration is 2 to 3 seconds, 1 second, or until the L button is released (Module 5577).

Backlighting is provided by electroluminescent (EL) elements or LEDs. EL elements may lose power after prolonged use.

Frequent use of the backlight reduces battery life.

Turning on the backlight for extended periods or with a low battery charge may cause the watch hands to stop moving for a while.
