These back boxes are specially designed by Corston to complement their Kew range of flush plates, featuring a unique installation process. This guide is not suitable for use with standard European back boxes.
Installation Instructions

Step 1: Mark Horizontal Line
Draw a horizontal line on the wall.

Step 2: Prepare Wall Opening
Plasterboard: Align the back box with the horizontal line and press firmly against the wall, allowing the integrated spikes to impress marks on the surface.
Brick wall: Measure and mark the wall according to the specified dimensions: 142mm distance between hole centres and 71mm diameter for each hole.

Step 3: Drill Holes
Using the markings as centrepoints, drill 71mm diameter holes in the wall.

Step 4: Clear Opening
Remove any excess material between the drilled holes to create a clean opening.

Step 5: Prepare Back Box
Remove the back box cover and drill out the required conduit holes as needed.

Step 6: Fit Render Trim (Optional)
If a render trim is being used, fit it onto the back box.

Step 7: Secure Back Box
Plasterboard: Insert the back box into the prepared hole and secure it using screws.
Brick wall: Secure the back box within the hole using adhesive, or by nailing the trim down.

Step 8: Replace Cover
Reattach the back box cover.

Step 9: Finish Wall
Complete the wall finishing as necessary, ensuring a neat surface around the installed box.

Step 10: Access Internal Components
Remove the back box cover and any central screws to access the internal components.

Step 11: Install Divider
Install the divider into the back box.

Step 12: Make Electrical Connections
Make the necessary electrical connections to wire the modules.

Step 13: Screw in Modules
Secure the modules in place by screwing them into the back box.

Step 14: Clip on Front Plate
Clip the front plate into position over the installed modules.

Removal Instructions
For toggle switches: Use the remover tool to unscrew the toggle ring.
For general front plate removal: Insert the lip of the remover tool under the edge of the front plate and gently lever it off.
