Product Information
Using advanced conductivity testing technology and reverse polarity protection, the 12V-24V battery tester provides crucial information about the battery's condition, enabling quick diagnosis of battery and charging problems.
Compatibility
Battery type and CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) values are indicated on the battery's label and should be read before use. The tester supports the following battery types: VRLA, GEL, AGM, EFB, STD.
Safety Instructions
- This tester must be used in accordance with the instructions, considering the working conditions and the type of work to be performed. Using the tester in a manner inconsistent with its intended use may lead to hazardous situations.
- Ensure battery terminals are clean before testing, as grease and dirt can lead to incorrect test results.
- Wear safety glasses when working near batteries.
- To avoid electric shock, check that the battery terminal insulation is in normal condition (not damaged, exposed, or disconnected).
- The test should be performed in a well-ventilated area. Explosive and toxic gases can be produced during testing.
- Keep hair, hands, and clothing, as well as the tester's cables, away from moving parts like fans and belts.
- Do not store the tester in a location accessible to children.
- Do not place the tester near the engine or exhaust pipe to avoid damage from high temperatures when the car engine is running.
- Do not smoke, create sparks, or use matches near the battery during testing.
- Do not remove battery terminals during testing.
- Do not place the tester in a humid or dusty environment to avoid damage.
- Do not disassemble the tester, as it may be damaged.
Device Description
The tester is a handheld device with a digital LCD display and two test clamps (red for positive, black for negative). It features navigation buttons (ESC, ENTER, RESET) and directional buttons for selecting options and values.
Components:
- Tester Unit: The main device with the display and buttons.
- Red Clamp (Positive): Connects to the positive terminal of the battery.
- Black Clamp (Negative): Connects to the negative terminal of the battery.
How to Start the Tester
The tester checks each battery according to the selected system standard and parameters marked on the battery for accurate results.
Before Testing
The engine and all other power sources must be turned off for accurate results. If the battery is fully charged, turn on the car's headlights for 2-3 minutes until the battery voltage drops to a normal value.
Steps
- Connect the red positive (+) battery clamp to the positive (+) battery terminal and the black negative (-) battery clamp to the negative (-) battery terminal. Ensure the clamps have a firm and secure grip on the battery terminals for accurate results.
- Press ⬆️ or ⬇️ to select the BATTERY TYPE (indicated on the battery's label), confirm with "ENTER".
- Press ⬆️ or ⬇️ to select the corresponding test standard (indicated on the battery's label), confirm with "ENTER".
- Press and hold ⬅️ or ➡️ to select the battery's EDC/CCA values (indicated on the battery's label or in the EDC/CCA parameter table).
- Press "ENTER" to start the battery test.
Test Results
Test results are displayed as follows:
- SOH (State of Health): Indicates the battery's overall health.
- R (Internal Resistance): Shows the battery's internal resistance.
- SOC (State of Charge): Displays the battery's current charge level.
- VOLT (Voltage): Shows the battery's voltage.
- EDC/CCA (Calculated Discharge Current): Displays the calculated cold cranking amperage.
