Rating Marking Splashes, Rain Washing Car Swimming, Diving Scuba Diving
I None No No No No
II WATER RESISTANT Yes No No No
III 50M WATER RESISTANT Yes Yes No No
IV 100M WATER RESISTANT Yes Yes Yes No
V 200M WATER RESISTANT Yes Yes Yes Yes

Notes for respective sections:

  • I: Watch is not water resistant. Avoid any moisture.
  • III: Do not press watch buttons underwater.
  • IV: If exposed to salt water, rinse thoroughly and dry.
  • V: Watch can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring helium-oxygen mixtures).

Some water-resistant watches have leather straps. Do not wear these watches during swimming or other activities where the strap may get wet.

Care for Your Watch

  • Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover.
  • The rubber gasket protecting the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
  • If moisture enters the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
  • Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
  • While designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping.
  • Do not fasten the strap too tightly. A finger should fit between your wrist and the strap.
  • When not in use, store the watch in a dry place.
  • Clean the watch and strap with a dry soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile agents (e.g., gasoline, solvents, spray cleaners, etc.).
  • Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions from these materials can damage gaskets, cases, and polish.
  • Some models have silk-screened designs on the strap. Clean these straps carefully to avoid damaging the designs.
