Important Information
Battery
The battery installed at the factory is for testing purposes and may have a shorter service life than indicated in the specifications. If the backlight is dim or the display does not turn on, replace the battery at your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
Water Resistance
Watches are classified by water resistance levels (I through V). Refer to the table below for correct usage:
Level | Case Marking | Description |
---|---|---|
I | (No marking) | Not protected from water. Avoid any moisture. |
III | WATER RESISTANT 50M | Suitable for swimming, car washing. Do not press buttons underwater. Rinse with fresh water and dry thoroughly after exposure to saltwater. |
IV | WATER RESISTANT 100M | Suitable for swimming, car washing. Do not press buttons underwater. Rinse with fresh water and dry thoroughly after exposure to saltwater. |
V | WATER RESISTANT 200M | Suitable for skin diving. |
V (higher rating) | WATER RESISTANT 300M | Suitable for scuba diving (excluding depths requiring helium-oxygen mixtures). |
Notes for relevant sections:
- Level I: The watch is not water-resistant. Avoid all contact with moisture.
- Level III: Do not press the watch buttons underwater.
- Level IV: If the watch is exposed to saltwater, rinse it thoroughly and wipe it dry.
- Level V: The watch can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring helium-oxygen mixtures).
Some water-resistant watches have leather straps. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in any other activity where the strap may become submerged in water.
Watch Care
- Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover.
- The rubber gasket protecting the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If moisture enters the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
- Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
- While designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping the watch.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly. A finger should fit between your wrist and the strap.
- To clean the watch and strap, use a dry, soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a mild solution of neutral detergent. Never use volatile substances like gasoline, solvents, or spray cleaners.
- When not in use, store the watch in a dry place.
- Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, aerosol sprays, adhesives, paint, etc., as chemical reactions can damage gaskets, the case, and polish.
- Some models have silk-screened designs on the strap. Clean these carefully to avoid damaging the designs.
- For watches with plastic straps: A white powdery substance may appear on the strap. This is harmless. Sweat or moisture can damage plastic straps, leading to breakage or cracking. Wipe the strap clean with a soft cloth to ensure a long service life.
- For watches with fluorescent cases and straps: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fluorescent color to fade. Prolonged contact with moisture can also cause fading. Wipe off any moisture promptly. Prolonged contact with other wet surfaces can cause discoloration. Keep fluorescent surfaces dry and avoid contact with other surfaces. Strong friction can transfer fluorescent paint to other surfaces.
CASIO Computer Co., Ltd. is not responsible for any damage that may occur from the use of this watch and does not accept claims from third parties.
