Operation
The shredder is ready for use. Insert a waste bag for easy disposal.
Shredder Components
- Shredder head

- Control switch (with positions: Auto-On [I], Off [O], Reverse [R])

Shredding Process
Continuous Operation: Maximum 10 minutes. The shredder runs briefly after each pass to clear the entry. Continuous operation beyond 10 minutes will trigger a 20-minute cool-down period.
Paper Shredding
- Set the control switch to Off [O] and plug in the shredder.
- Set the control switch to Auto-On [I].
- Feed paper into the paper entry and release.
Credit Card Shredding
- Hold the credit card by its edge.
- Set the control switch to Auto-On [I].
- Feed the card into the center of the paper entry and release.
Post-Shredding
- Set the control switch to Off [O] and unplug the shredder.

Important Safety Instructions — Read Before Using!
Warnings:
- ⚠️ Keep away from children and pets. Always unplug when not in use.
- ⚠️ Keep foreign objects (gloves, jewelry, clothing, hair, etc.) away from shredder openings. If an object enters the top opening, switch to Reverse [R] to back out the object.
- ⚠️ Never use aerosol, petroleum-based, or other flammable products on or near the shredder. Do not use canned air on the shredder.
- ⚠️ Do not use if damaged or defective. Do not open the shredder head. Do not place near or over a heat or water source.
Cautions:
- ⚠️ Avoid touching exposed blades under the Confetti-Cut shredder head.
Troubleshooting
Paper Jam:
Set the control switch to Off [O] and empty the bin. Replace the bin and follow these procedures:
- Set the control switch to Reverse [R] and alternate slowly back and forth.
- Set the control switch to Off [O] and unplug the shredder.
- Gently pull any uncut paper from the paper entry.
- Plug in the shredder.
- Set the control switch to Reverse [R].
Shredder Doesn't Start:
- Make sure the shredder is plugged in.
- Make sure the bin is pushed in correctly.
- Wait 20 minutes for the motor to cool down if it has overheated.
- Remove and empty the bin.
Maintenance
Oiling (Confetti-Cut):
Run the shredder regularly in reverse for one minute.
Lubricate the shredder when the bin is full, or immediately if:
- Capacity decreases.
- The motor sounds different.
- The shredder stops running.
Oiling Procedure:
- Set the control switch to Off [O].
- Apply shredder oil across the paper entry.
- Set the control switch to Auto-On [I] and shred one sheet of paper.
- Set the control switch to Reverse [R] for 2-3 seconds.
- Repeat the oiling procedure twice.
Caution: Only use a non-aerosol vegetable oil in a long nozzle container, such as Fellowes 35250.
Warranty
Limited Warranty
Fellowes, Inc. ("Fellowes") warrants the cutting blades of the machine to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 5 years from the date of purchase by the original consumer.
Fellowes warrants all other parts of the machine to be free of defects in material and workmanship for 1 year from the date of purchase by the original consumer.
If any part is found to be defective during the warranty period, the sole and exclusive remedy will be repair or replacement, at Fellowes' option and expense, of the defective part.
This warranty does not apply in cases of abuse, mishandling, or unauthorized repair.
Any implied warranty, including that of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, is hereby limited in duration to the appropriate warranty period set forth above.
In no event shall Fellowes be liable for any consequential or incidental damages attributable to this product.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. The duration, terms, and conditions of this warranty are valid worldwide, except where different limitations, restrictions, or conditions may be required by local law.
